Solo: A Star Wars Story, or simply Solo, is a 2018 American space Western film based on the Star Wars character Han Solo. Directed by Ron Howard, it was produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the second Star Wars anthology film following 2016's Rogue One. The plot takes place over ten years prior to the events of A New Hope, and explores the early adventures of Han Solo and Chewbacca, as the pair are involved in a heist within the criminal underworld and meet a young Lando Calrissian. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, alongside Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, and Paul Bettany.
George Lucas began development on the film in 2012. He commissioned Lawrence Kasdan to write the screenplay, which was completed by his son Jonathan after Kasdan was hired to write Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Principal photography began in January 2017 at Pinewood Studios, under the direction of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The pair left the project in June 2017 after reportedly being fired over "creative differences" with Lucasfilm, and Howard took over directing duties. With an estimated production budget of around $275 million, it is one of the most expensive films ever made. Having grossed over $388 million worldwide, it is considered the first Star Wars film to be deemed a box office bomb, with estimated losses for Disney of up to $80 million; it will need to gross at least $500 million to break even.
The film had its world premiere in Los Angeles on May 10, 2018, and also screened on May 15 at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, before its United States release on May 25, 2018 in RealD 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D. It received generally favorable reviews from critics, with praise for the cast (particularly Ehrenreich and Glover), visuals and action sequences, although many noted that the film added "nothing new" to the Star Wars franchise.

Zork: Grand Inquisitor:
In this third graphical Zork adventure, you are a vacuum cleaner salesman in the town of Port Frobozz, which is under the domination of the Grand Inquisitor, and you are about to miss curfew. Much of the humor in this game comes from loudspeaker announcements about the rules and policies of the Grand Inquisitor, who has banned magic.

Grim Fandango:
Designer Tim Schafer (Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Psychonauts) took his inspiration for the characters and the plot from film noir classics, including The Maltese Falcon, Key Largo, and Casablanca. The Mexican Day of the Dead festival inspired its art style, with cheerful calacas (skeletons) as the characters. The developers used the new GrimE engine, built using the scripting language Lua and one of the first uses of Lua in game development.
Grim Fandango was a critical success, receiving many game of the year awards. It was praised for the outstanding art direction, over-all design, and music, although some complained that the interface had too steep a learning curve. LucasArts claimed that ""Grim Fandango met domestic expectations and exceeded them worldwide," but the game is usually considered a commercial failure.

My favorite head sculpt of the 8 head lot - LOL! And it doesn't even appear in the cinematic trailer trilogies...well, mostly. Darth Malgus as he may have appeared leading up to the events to the sacking of Alderaan...which didn't go so well. I'm using the same rage sculpt as the acolyte version but added the face guards and reworked the paint sculpt. I highlighted the eyes a touch in photoshop for a dramtic look - if you haven't figured it out by now - he's pissed!

The 1:18th scale, 4" tall sculpt of Starkiller from the Force Unleashed 2 is completed. This sculpt depicts Starkiller as he appears in the teaser trailer for the Lucasarts game as well as many of the promotional commercials...

Starkiller's two head sculpts (standard and "rage") are original sculpts depicting the character from the concept art and not that of the actor. When I have time I will go back and sculpt an actor likeness.
The shoulder armor is a seperate piece and is attached by a clear band around the shoulder.
The body is a full sculpt using a custom made articluated frame or armature. The figure contains 14 points of articulation.
Included to hilts which are built from existing parts, can be attached to chest using clear banding. Also included are to sabers with attached beams. Lightsabers do not light up.
The arena robes are from the Darth Maleval box set and was altered/reworked then painted to give a worn look. Hood is from a VOTC Darth Sideous, altered and repainted.
Figure was sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt and hand painted using Testors Polyscale and Floquil acrylics.
Completed 1:18 scale, 4.25" tall sculpt of Darth Malgus - Sith Lord from the Lucasarts/Bioware MMO game Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Figure is a complete sculpt using a custom articluated frame as it's armature. The 8 different heads have all been sculpted and hand painted - each depicting a window of time in the life of Malgus and inspired by the cinematic trilogies created by Blur Studios: Return, Hope and Deceived.

Hope - www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ToztqqDcaY
Decieved - www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjhJcm-lpjc
All armor is hand sculpted and original. The chest and left shoulder armor are removable and can be replaced with "battle damaged" armor as an alternate. Hood is a sculpted piece and works along side the soft goods cape which is an altered piece from a store bought VOTC Darth Vader.
Lightsaber is hand sculpted, casted in plastic. Saber does not light up. Bean is removable from hilt.
Sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt and hand painted using Testors Polly Scale and Floquil acrylics.
My 1:18 scale, 4.5" tall Furlag sculpt is complete. The head is a completly original sculpt. The figures body is also original and is sculpted over a custom created, articluated frame. I used Aves FIXIT for the sculpt and casted the head in plastic. Furlag has 14 points of articulation. Hand painted using Testors Polyscale (Floquil) acrylic paints. A very unique species in the Star Wars universe...
From Wookipedia - "Furlag was a small-time bounty hunter with large, batlike ears. Operating during the height of the Galactic Empire, he was not well-known, but often worked with other prominent bounty hunters, such as Zuckuss and 4-LOM. He, Zuckuss, and 4-LOM were subcontracted by fellow hunter Skorr on Ord Mantell during the early Galactic Civil War in the hunt for a group of prospective Rebels, then again later with 4-LOM and Zuckuss as well as several other bounty hunters including the Trandoshan Bossk to attempt to pry Han Solo's carbonite-encased body from Boba Fett."
Unfortunately Furlag underestimated Boba Fett and met his end being sucked through and open airlock shaft into deep space.

Work in Progress on the body of Starkiller in his Arena Combat Gear - the costume mostly associated with this character in The Force Unleashed 2. Working is the upper body, abdomen, shoulders, arms and body armor. The body armor seen here almost complete! I have created the additional shoulder guard and once cured, will properly fit the pieces to the body and each other to assure the arm and shoulder joint underneath will have full range of movement. The completed shoulder armor will be strapped to the arm using a thin, clear band.
Straying from the path he has sturggled to hold true, Dass Jennir arrives on Telerath. Unbeknownst to Jennir, his destiny with the living force is about to be revealed and his burdened conscience wiped clean....
Dass Jennir is a favorite character of mine from the Star Wars Dark Horse Expanded Universe.
My apologies for taking so long to complete this piece...as with all my work, I never center my full attention on just one project, always a bit at a time, tabling and returning to the subject when the inspiration hits.
This is a 1:18th scale figure - fully articulated with all the basic movements and can be posed in many postions like other factory made figures...mostly when his cowl is removed.
Both figures sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt and painted using Floyquil Acrylics.

Everyone's played Zelda. From the warning of "It's Dangerous To Go Alone!" that set you on your quest, through the Dark World and the Windfish Egg, we sat below the Kakariko Windmill and stared at the moon as it was falling, we changed the seasons and traveled through time, we hit the high seas and rode the rails, we even put on silly hats and turned into a dog. Pure classic gaming goodness, all of it.
But do you remember the time were Link went off to save Princess Zelda's father and didn't come back, so Zelda had to go rescue them both? Do you remember the Isle of Koridai, where giant stone heads dot the landscape?
Of course you don't! But it happened.
In the early 90's, Nintendo partnered with Philips to make a CD-ROM attachment for the SNES. While the SNES CD-ROM fell through, through some quirk in the contract, Philips walked away with the rights to make games based on Nintendo's Zelda and Mario series for their CD-i system. The system was largely a failure, probably because people just aren't that interested in Rembrandt or Pavarotti and didn't want to shell out a couple hundred bucks so they could have a multimedia Rembrandt and Pavarotti experience in their living room.
The games pictured are two of the three Zelda games for the CDi: Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and Link: Faces of Evil. Both games are side scrollers, reminiscent of Zelda II crossed with a LucasArts point and click adventure game. (The third Zelda game, Zelda's Adventure, is insanely expensive, which is why I don't have it. Yet.)
The games are often unfairly criticized by people who've only seen the FMV cartoons, but have never actually played them. True, the FMV cartoons are horrible. Eye-gouging horrible. I have played the games (briefly), though, so I can fairly criticize them for just not being all that good. The control sceme with the CD-i gamepad is horrible. The CD-i only had two action buttons, yet they had to cram about four or five actions onto them for the gameplay, leading to situations where you walk through a door when you actually want to plant a bomb or pause the game when you actually want to walk through a door. The game is also slow and clunky and doesn't feel like the movement algorithm was well polished before release. I will give the game high marks for the in-game artwork, though. The backgrounds for each area look hand-painted and are beautiful.
Perhaps the worst sin committed against the Zelda franchise is that neither of these games actually feels like a Zelda game. Had they not borne the Zelda name, these two games may have been held up as some of the shining stars for the CD-i, although, admittedly, that's a bit like winning the "Cutest Pet" award at a wrinkled hairless cat show. Thing is, with a bit more polish (and a few more buttons), it's a formula that could work well.
