"If the boy and girl walk off into the sunset hand-in-hand in the last scene, it adds 10 million to the box office."

Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

TGIF.. have a great day.. thanks for taking a look..

Finaly here is an other picture I’ve made for Warner Bros and the lego star wars video game !

As you may know the idea was to insert funny details into the best moments of the movie The Force Awakens. We have received a detailed brief making references to the original movie and the great trailer made for the lego game. But it was up to us to find good ideas instead of copy cat the video game trailer.

When you are the best freakin pilot in the galaxy you can easily deal with a huge battle in insane moves and still take time to enjoy your tea ! Notice that Poe has a pretty good taste when it comes to mug ^^

Guys I'm so happy ! I had the chance to be hired by Warner Bros to make 5 images with another french artist «Discret» (who made 5 others) for the release of the Lego Star Wars video game : the force awakens.

An intense work of 3 weeks to revisit some of the best moments of the movie. The deal was to bring humor and funky moments to these famous scenes.

Our pictures were first shown in the Lego Star Wars stand at the Comic Con Germany in Stuttgart. It will be displayed soon in France. I can't wait to show you the 4 others pictures and a making-of video.

A part of the deal was also to build two scenes with lego bricks, one showing the crashed imperial destroyer in Jakku’s deserted landscapes and the military First Order gathering on Starkiller base just before they triggered their superweapon.

Here is the « Seagull's squad », starring Poe and the armada of x-wings flying very low during the battle of Takodana. At that time only Poe’s black and orange spaceship was released by Lego. One month later the grey and blue one came out, what a pity !

An other version of this picture was given the green light, one without motion blur on the water where two stormtroopers are fishing on a boat unaware of the massive ships about to fly over them. I still prefer this one with motion blur as it adds more speed feeling even thought I worked hard to get a nice water effect.

I hope you gonna like it, it is the largest diorama I've built so far ! 😹

I made some more Star Wars video game characters! On a bit of a kick, I guess.

Left to right:

Mara Jade: as she appears in Mysteries of the Sith and Masters of Teräs Käsi.

Arden Lyn: Never really heard of this character, but she's from Masters of Teräs Käsi as well.

Cal Kestis: from Jedi: Fallen Order.

Jan Ors: mostly based on her appearance in Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

Kyle Katarn: also mostly based on his appearance in Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

Thanks to the recent acquisition of LucasArts by Disney, announcements have been made for Star Wars Episode VII. I find this equally wonderful and terrifying. What will happen to our beloved space saga next? Will this mean more cross-overs between traditional Disney and Star Wars characters?

Behold a new Sith, Darth Mouse!

My seventh entry into the MOCathalon, for the category: Parody this!

Upper body sculpt is close to completion - working on the back and additional detailing to the body straps and lightsabers. The sabers are made up from existing sabers, cut up and glued together to resemble the ones used in the trailers. I've made molds to produce casts. Once the casts are made, I will add the wrap detail using real cloth. The sabers are held to the chest by two thin, clear rubber loops...tried clips but were too big and looked obvious. The bands may be seen but can easily be ignored.

Work in Progress on the body of Starkiller in his Arena Combat Gear - the costume mostly associated with this character in The Force Unleashed 2. Working is the upper body, abdomen, shoulders, arms and body armor.

**UPDATE** Completed the forearms and added the first layer of sculpt to the upper legs. The lower abdomen and back still need some work. The arms are maxxed out on articulation - swivel/hinge joints to the the wrists, swivel joint on the forearm and the elbow/shoulder are ball joints. Due to the damage Malgus received to his jaw, throat and neck during the Aldreean campaign, a special mask had to be worn for protection. This sculpt (not completed - additional details need to be applied) reflects his appearance during the "Deceived" trailer as he commanded Imperial/Sith forces in the sacking of Coruscant.

Darth Malgus from the upcoming Bioware game Star Wars: Old Republic. You've seen this dark lord in the "Hope" trailer - he will have alternate damaged body armor and an alternate head featuring the respirator seen in the "Deceived" trailer.

Sculpting the upper legs at the moment. Because the upper body weight is so great, I will be replacing the microman feet with larger ball jointd feet similar to my Vader figure.

Completed both sets of shoulder armor. These pieces are attached to the arms by clear bands glued to the underside of the armor, that wrap around and under the shoulder ball joints. This allows the arms free range of movement without the shoulder armor falling off.

I am not full satisfied with it because I do not have most of my bricks at disposal, so I had to work with what I had.

I hope you like it!

An update on my Darth Malgus sculpt - I have resculpted the forearm tech with added detail and sharper lines - still needs refinement. Not 100% accurate to that of the reference images but I’m satisfied :) - Only minor adjustments needed till sculpting of Malgus is complete. Still need to create lightsaber.

A teaser shot of my Zayne Carrick Spacesuit. Shoud have it completed in the next week or so :)

I have completed the sculpts to my Tonnika Sister figure set. Both measure approx. 3.75" and are fully articulated. Sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt - will refine a bit and prep them to be painted soon!

In 1975, the TV series Space: 1999 came out. In it, the series featured a spaceship called the Eagle. This was a year ahead of A New Hope, and it caused panic at LucasArt, because the design of the Eagle was too close to the original design of the ship originally intended for Han Solo. It was just called the Pirate Ship then, by the way. We know it as the Blockade Runner, however. So this $100.000 (1975 dollars) model was scraped, and the design for a new model was started, which ended with the Millennium Falcon, a direct response to the Eagle from 1999. Hence the name too: 1999 = Millennium, Eagle = Falcon. They kept the cockpit, by cutting it off the Blockade Runner, and transferring it to the new ship for Han Solo. The replacement hammerhead cockpit design in the Blockade Runner is actually two paint buckets glued together. And it was scaled up as an capital ship.

Pit Droids as seen at the Boonta Eve Classic Podrace (and later throughout the galaxy) in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Pit Droids only appeared in 7131 and 7171 back in 1999.

Growing up on games like Monkey Island, Zak Mc Kracken and Maniac Mansion it made me sad to here today that LUCASARTS got shut down by Disney.

Force Unleashed is one of my fav games related to SW ever. Great plot and lot's of action. I'm extremaly pissed off on Lucasarts that they quit this project without finishing the trilogy.

This photo is based on first chapter of 1st game TFU. Enjoy ;)

Just had a little fun.. doing a 'Lucas Art' effect.. of 'The old toll house'.. at the Teignmouth end of Shaldon bridge..

Thanks for your visit & comments..

I've recently reawakened my interest in Star Wars, or I've really always loved Star Wars, I mean Star Wars Battlefront ll is where my exxtrooper alias came from, but I'm building it and stuff now, it's great.

Based on the clone wars era shuttle of the same name.

More views and WIP pictures.

With automated landing-geart and interior.

This took way longer then it should have, it's been sort of just laying around over the course of three weeks and I've been building it little by little whenever I felt like it. And man did it take long to find all those white slopes, making the landing gear work properly and finding enough white cheese probably took longer then making the entire model itself. The actual secondary color of the Nu-class shuttle is actually dark red but I used the parts available to me. The only thing that grinds my gears about the model is the light grey pieces in the front, they are available in black in one old indiana jones set, but you only get one of them and the set is like 100 USD or something.

I'm pretty conflicted about this one because I've been thinking about dissembling it and making it into a Lambda class shuttle. I really like making vehicles like, I've always really liked the white shuttles from star wars, a lot of the clone wars era spacecrafts have some interesting shapes.

So yeah, I'm sort of like building and stuff now guys, hope that's cool and all.

With Ralph McQuarrie’s Boba Fett recently released in LEGO form, thought I might give another Ralph McQuarrie character the LEGO treatment.

I tried to make three exposures for Photomatix and then apply the Lucasart effect with CS3, but it didn't turn out as well as this one which was processed just with CS3 RAW viewer. I changed the sky and if you look below you will see the original RAW file. I read the name of the placard for the title. It looks a lot like an HDR even though I didn't use the software that way.
