This is Multnomah Falls in the Columbia Gorge. A friend was visiting so we drove up there. He had never seen the gorge before. We also had an incredible salmon dinner at the restaurant there.

The third grade at Ross School presented a wax museum on April 23 where they were the exhibits. As part of their studies on early humans, the students dressed up as hominids as well as influential archeologists and scientists. In elaborate settings, they stayed motionless until visitors pushed a “button,” which brought them to life to explain who they were and what they did.
This is one of my dream photo expeditions, the shapes and colors of sandstone in a little crevice in the desert outside Page, Arizona, Lower Antelope Canyon. My sister and I made the trip 120 feet down ladders with other visitors from all over the globe. The tour is about two hours and is simply amazing, The Navajo guide said a sheep fell in the crevice in the early 1900s and a little girl daughter of the farmer went down to look for it and that is when they discovered the what is called a "Slot Canyon". It is possible there are many more, but this one so close to Lake Powell was formed by water run off which over the years has shaped the sandstone to the colors and curves it has today.
The lowest of the three sections of Yosemite Falls, water drops 98m into Yosemite Creek, which eventually reaches the Merced River. A local Ahwahnechee legend states that the lower pool was inhabited by Poloti spirits. When a woman drew water from the pool the spirits angrily pulled her, her baby and her house into the pool.

The lower deck of the Veterans Memorial Bridge carried four streetcar tracks across the Cuyahoga River until Cleveland's streetcar service ended in 1954. Since then, the lower deck has been closed to the public. A few times each year, the county engineer opens up the bridge for public tours, and visitors are allowed to walk along the old streetcar paths. On the way across the bridge, you can look down through steel grates to the river 100 feet below.
St Margaret, Lower Halstow, Kent
The ancient church of a pretty marshland village just to the east of the Medway towns. The church sits beside Low Halstow creek across to the wharf of the former brickworks, now home to a Thames barge.
My great-great-grandfather George Waters was baptised in this church on 4th February 1849. The font he was baptised in was a large cement dum, but during the First World War it was shattered by the noise of an exploding bomb to reveal an exquisite lead font with figures in relief.
The church is as pretty inside and out, despite the rather alarming east window, a WWI memorial.
