Spent some time today going through and moving old files off my computer , This is a sunset on my home beach from a while back . Roll on winter on the beach.
Vacationland is the nickname for Maine. And it does make sense since it has so many places you can go for either fall, winter or summer vacations. Coastal Maine is very busy during the summer and Old Orchard beach is probably its busiest beach. There is a large pier located centrally at the beach and that's where I took this picture from. I really liked how people were walking on the expanded, due to low tide, beach and their reflections on the wet surface.

A view along Low Street over Jackson Bridge in Lastingham, North Yorkshire, England. Low Street is a Cul de Sac
Jackson Bridge is over Hole Beck and is Grade II Listed. The stone plaque on the bridge is dated 1863,
There is reason to believe that the original name for Lastingham was Læstingau. Læstingau first appears in history when King Ethelwald of Deira (651-c.655) founded a monastery for his own burial
Werneth Low Country Park is a lovely spot on the borders of Stockport and Tameside, with beautiful views.
For Macro Mondays 'Low Key' theme - this is a nigella seed capsule. Of which there are many in the garden, seems to make a good subject matter.
I couldn't drive past without stopping to photograph this fine looking Highland bull. The weather and the background were not very helpful so I've boosted the contrast and shadows in post-processing and darkened the background.
A few of these little guys appeared on my lawn after a couple of days of heavy spring rain. I have not seen them before - if anyone can help with ID it would be much appreciated

A Great Egret glides low above the dried grasses as it relocates to a different fishing spot at a local State Park.
I like to wander of the vast expanses of exposed rock at low tide, here, not only to explore the rockpools and their inhabitants, but to see the array of geometric patterns and shapes in the weathered rocks.
I came across a number of bones in the mud which looked human whilst taking this photo, but I suspect that they maybe from the resturant below Canon Street Railway Bridge.

Prozor-Rama lake, Hercegovina, one of the undiscovered corners of Bosnia & Hercegovina, and one of the most sparsely populated parts of southern Europe, unfortunately the water level was quite low, a few more uploads to come from this place, and I may even go back again one day.
The low water revealed some interesting rock formations at dusk along the coast near Santa Barbara, California.
