Thank heavens for flickr on line storage. My laptop was on 1GB lefton the hard drive. Having a really thorough clear out, I will get round to sorting the wheat from the chaff later!!
Across the street were several quonset huts, still occupied a couple of years after WW II was over. All the other homes were new construction for that part of town. There was a large elementary school, and just a few minutes' walk away was the outdoors swimming pool (heated by water piped in from natural hot springs) where all the kids at the school learned to swim.

Mum in the garden in July. She was home to enjoy the home cooked food - barbecues on sunny summer Sundays :-)
Even when too ill to eat she always managed a big smile for me.
