The #14, a three-truck Shay, was built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1916 for the Sierra-Nevada Wood & Co. at Hobart Mills, CA as their #10. By 1939 it had become West Side Lumber's #14 at Tuolumne, CA. In 1965 It was sold to Camino, Cable & Northern in Camino, CA and then sold to the Colorado Central Narrow Guage RR at Central City, CO (the predecessor of the Georgetown Loop Railroad) in 1974. In their care it was renumbered to 14. It became the Georgetown Loop's #14 in 1981. This photo was taken in 1999, in Silver Plume, CO as the #14 approached the rear of our train in preparation to return us to Georgetown. Kodachrome 64Pro, Nikon F3, 85mm f/1.8
