At the north end of Granville Street Bridge, the Granville Loops allow vehicles to access or depart the downtown area.
The City proposes to remove the loops and replace them with new grade-level streets.
Student Davena found this interesting looking looper caterpillar in our beech forest plot and we put it on this Coprosma to photograph. I don't know what its host plant is.

The Eastern Sierra is a region in California comprising the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada, which includes Mono and Inyo Counties. The main thoroughfare is U.S. Route 395, which passes through Bridgeport, Lee Vining, Bishop, Big Pine, Independence, Lone Pine, and Olancha, with Bishop being the largest city in the area. It is sparsely populated but well known for its scenery; major points of interest include Mono Lake, Bodie, Mammoth Lakes, Manzanar, and parts of Yosemite National Park and Death Valley National Park.

I Loved this candid photo and thought it also was a perfect position for the loop to be disconnected enough that it didn't turn into a Rembrandt cause finding the right position not only for my mom but the light was harder than I imagined, but definitely fun to play with the many possibilities.
Took this picture while my niece was eating Fruit Loops and watching her favourite cartoon on television.
