For a number of years, some people have taken it upon themselves to decorate some of the trees along Loop 360, which runs to the west of Austin. The practice has taken off in the last few years to the point that, this year, it seems that all of the trees along some stretches of the road are decorated.

Love this fiber. The Bumps are so delightful to spin!
I bought in hopes of it inciting me back to my wheel which I hadn’t touched since my DD was born in Sept. 2009! This is just the fiber to do it.
It spun like a dream even though I hadn’t spun in over 2 1/2 years. It was lovely to work with. This one has slubs and lumps from the recycled sari silk & a bit from the silk. But it looks wonderful.

Should have taken pics myself before I started spinning! But I was too happy to get it on the wheel.
Less certain about angelina as I am not a big sparkle gal. But I bought the colorway as I figured my DD would love the colors which she does.

As you can tell, by this point it was now really raining but it gave a good reflection of Big Loop's Corkscrew!

This Southeastern train loops around the Kent fields on the outskirts of Dartford whilst turning back towards London between Crayford and Slade Green.
First day out with the DSLR took us to the South Loop. Spring was firming up, but a chill hung in the air. The light was diffuse and bright. A lot of the flowers got lost in the crossroads of rails, boulevards and steel.
