Chicago Loop is one of 77 officially designated community areas located in the City of Chicago, Illinois, United States. It is the historic commercial center of Downtown Chicago.
This is a photograph from the 17:00 - 19:00 segment of the first Edenderry Tri Club "Edenderry 5 Mile Challenge" which was held in Edenderry, Co. Offaly, Ireland on Saturday 27th September 2014 from 15:00 and continuing on until 15:00 on Sunday 28th September 2014. The event is partnered as a charity event and proceeds will go to support Edenderry Tri Club and our Charity Partners - Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, Little Wishes Edenderry and Edenderry Tidy Towns. Three members of the Edenderry Tri Club will complete the 5 mile route in relays for the continuous 24 hours. People are welcome to join in for one, two or as many loops as they wish. The loop is a 5 mile route starting and finishing in Edenderry St. Mary's Secondary School and following the famous Drumcooley 5 mile route which is well known to local runners and walkers. The route brings participants out 'the Tunnel Road' following 'The Bog Road' out to the Canal and then turning right and up the long hill of Drumcooley. After the decent the route makes its way back into the town and joins the Tullamore road and finishes back in the secondary school. Almost 400 people are expected to take part in the event with many runners using the event as an opportunity to get their final long runs completed before the Dublin marathon in October.

Exiting the boat yard the railway line rejoins the road. Double Yellow Lines clearly have never really worked too well in Weymouth as demonstrated by the owner of the Honda Legend parked on them and over the tramway. There is a small piece of the original loop track in evidence in the roadway.

Built in 1931-1934, this Art Deco-style skyscraper was designed by Graham, Anderson, Probst and White, and is also known as the LaSalle National Bank Building and Bank of America Building, after various bank tenants that have occupied the building over time. The building replaced several earlier structures on the same site, with the most notable being the Home Insurance Building, built in 1885 and demolished for the tower in 1931, widely considered to be the world’s first true skyscraper. The building stands 45 stories and 535 feet (163 meters) tall, and was the last major skyscraper constructed in Chicago prior to World War II. The building features a central 45-story tower ringed by four shorter 22-story towers at the corners with light wells in the center of the south, east, and west facades, with a four-story podium that has a footprint covering the entire site where the building is located. The building is clad in black granite at the base with limestone cladding above, arranged primarily in vertical bands, with vertical bays of one-over-one double-hung windows and casement windows featuring contrasting spandrel panels, brass doors and storefronts at ground level, white marble pilasters framing the east and west entrances, and aluminum flagpoles flanking the entrance doors. Inside, the building features office space on the upper floors with retail space on the ground floor, and a large, multi-story arcade that runs east-west, connecting the LaSalle Street and Clark Street entrances to the building and connecting the various retailers in the ground floor of the building to the elevator lobby. The building was designated a Chicago Landmark in 1994, and is a contributing structure in the West Loop–LaSalle Street Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. Today, the building continues to house office and retail lease space.
