While walking part of the Dead Lake Trail with a view looking to the west in Great Basin National Park. My thought on composing this image was to use a portion of the trail leading off into the Aspen and evergreen forest as a leading line with the focus of the image being the tall trees seemingly all around. I felt that feeling was best captured by not angling my Nikon at SLR camera upward and include the tree crowns, but rather focusing on the look ahead and having the trees stretch beyond the upper portion of the image. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 5 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.

For the Macro Mondays theme of 'Looking Up'.

How I've done this is to place one of my Willow Tree figurines on a sideboard in my dining room underneath a table lamp, sat on the floor and pointed my camera up at it.
