This gull kept circling back and near by as I stopped at Willamette Falls yesterday. I wonder what he thought of me with my camera looking up at him?
This year the FFF+ have decided to change their monthly challenge from "Five On The Fifth" (FOTF) to “Freestyle on the Fifth”, so still a theme every month, and to be posted on the 5th of the month, but this year it does not have to be five images, it is up to the member to choose a single photo or a collage/composite of how ever many photos they like. The theme will still be set a member of the group each month.

A gannet performing contortionist-level neck twists to keep a 180 degree eye on the flyways above. As well as being incredibly twisty, a gannet's neck muscles have the strength to lock the spine in place as they hit the water head on at speeds of up to 60mph. A remarkable feat of natural engineering.
First came Abigail, then came Barney next was Clodagh followed by Desmond none of them succeeded in removing all the leaves from these trees! Mind you after Desmond there were only these few!
In case you are wondering who the names belong to .... well they refer to a succession of storms that have battered the British Isles over the past couple of months. It seems that the Met. Office decided to name the bad storms and asked the public for suggestions. The next one will apparently be called Eva!
