Looking up on a cold February night in Minnesota.

Looks best large... this came out with a really interesting texture and depth of field... no photoshopping involved.

an old sx70 I found looking through stuff today

After Pete arrived, I had to stop hanging "stuff" off the picture rod. It's been long enough that I just picked some random paper out of the folder and hung it up to see what would happen.

In one of his more memorable "off the wall" events, he jumped, clung to the rod for about thirty seconds (pre-flickr) and then dropped into the frog bowl, which was full of jelly beans. The bowl and beans went flying. Pete ended up sitting on the book case where the frog bowl had been, looking at me with that "Why did you throw the jelly beans all over the floor?" look. I still find the odd jelly bean.

Always look up. My advice is to be aware of pigeons but you should still look up.

So...my mother-in-law says, "Mr. X, is that flue closed on thy fireplace? Yon ashy smell is wreaking havoc on me sinuses."

"Well, I don't know," sayeth I. "Let me take a look-see." Dark it was, blocking mine eyes from sight.

"Fear not!" exclaimeth I. "I am, therefore, a special agent."

So grabbing the trusty tool of the trade, I find the flue having been left ajar, as it were. The mother-in-law resteth, her sinuses now at ease.

looking up.. i'm still figuring this out... gotta keep the camera strap outta the frame and stuff.... i'm psyched to try this some other places, it's been pretty fun having the fisheye in the bad these recent days,.. it had been hibernating for a while. this sure makes me want to get a full frame body. wah.
