January 22 was my mom's birthday. This was my first Jan 22 without her. All day long the skies were low and threatening, but just at sunset they cleared and this lovely rainbow appeared -- and I felt it was her gift to me.
So happy to have beautiful weather and some leftover foliage on this lovely Saturday! I wish you all a great weekend!

The weather is looking up. We have finally had some rain. As glorious as the days have been it has been very dry and the plants are feeling stressed. I took this looking up through the leaves of the leopard tree and have just realised why it is called that! We all thought it was the motley pattern on the bark but maybe not.
