My beautiful niece in the photo at 15 years old. (taken this past September)

I tried to recreate the photo (same place) I took on my old iPhone in 2016, (link below if you are interested)....It ended up being too different than I would have liked to the original, however, I wanted it to be as natural as possible. I still like what the photo conveys to me and how she has changed as person 5 years later with her walking towards her future. The photo from 2016 was in the moment natural shot whereas I tried to do same but knew what I was aiming for this time, obviously. ☺️

My niece is a remarkable young lady, the sweetest, kindest soul, so caring and looks for the good in everyone. She is a great athlete, with a passion for running and cycling. She definitely inspires me.💛

Her longest bicycle ride was 160km at 14 years old. And she tends to run like Forest Gump,.. lol.. 👏🙌💛🚴🏃‍♀️

my niece in 2016 at 10 years old - not a great quality photo, however it is still one of my personal favorites because of its meaning to me. 💛

Oh, I know, I'm not out of the woods yet

But I'm pushing into the light ahead and it feels good

Oh, the years that you've stolen, I'm taking back

I'm spending all my time breaking chains ..♫

I hope your new year has started in the best way - all the best to you all :-)))

I have "collected" all my "crazy" things in a slide show - you can view it here:

... and all that is poetry

Anticipation is a remarkable part of life

I am looking forward to see the first pretty little spring flowers

Fake eastern flowers are not the first wild-flower of the year

Through the window I can see the frozen lake

I am looking forward to see the flowers growing out of snow

At some point it is a beginning of the year

……I thought I’d take us to Padstow today - this was to be our first Cornwall trip of the season but alas Covid has put paid to that - there will be other times and other coasts that will come to fruition if we all work together. Thats why we’re still staying securely ‘Locked Down’ AT HOME to stay safe and also to NOT be a vehicle to the virus - Covid-19 does not have legs (or wings) Alan:-)

Wish you a great 2009!

This reload's subject shall stand as a symbol for hopefully good perspectives this year :)

Looks like the Gods live there...

It's Italy...maybe they Do live there!

A little look back to early summer a couple of years ago and looking forward to seeing my garden come alive again. The lupin seems to be ok and the climbing rose although the metal arch has been replaced by a wooden one. The amount of white sweet rocket has been reduced. Unfortunately the blue flowered bush has died but I did get some cuttings and they seem ok. Had sweetpeas in that spot last year but the wall wasn't high enough and I kept running out of space and ideas!

Anyway I've added the vignette and faded the scene for Sliders Sunday.

"Let's dace" it's lovely to be alive on a chilly sunny morning .... spring is not far away, so jump up and dance and forget about everything else.

This daffodil took my advice and tried a little shadow dancing and loved it ❤️

I only used natural sunlight to capture this image in beautiful sunny Bristol.

Love & Peace Everyone.

Another year ahead. Let's hope it's a good one.

A happy, healthy and peaceful New Year to all of you! ✨🍀

Sadly over this past year or so I haven't done much with photography. I am looking forward to being more active with my camera once again.

for when we finally travel again

ODC Our Daily Challenge: Case

I wouldn't say it's been a bad week, but it's been a stressful one. Nice to reach its pinnacle and its end, and to enter another week.

the optimism of daffodils in January, looking great and getting ahead of themselves a bit.

A dull corner of the garden under a big ash tree. For a couple of weeks in Spring the daffs will really brighten it up.

A kind neighbour in my Mom's neighbourhood has set up this charming little rest area, for anyone walking by, who just wants to take five & enjoy the moment!

Hanukkah is closing... And coming into the New Year it's always about what to do next. Resolutions are made, goals and new priorities. These are good things and the New Year can be a source of motivation and change for many people. In the last few years however I've started looking at the year that I am leaving as a source to learn from and be motivated from. This past year was a hard year in many aspects and ways... I want to look back on 2016 and be thankful for the mistakes I've made and learned from, for the experiences that Life has taught me, for the memories I have made, for loved ones that are still with me, for my health. Despite the hardships, trials and darkness that went in on this year, there is so much MORE good that I have to be thankful for. That is the attitude I want to have going forward into 2017. I wish every one of you a happy, joyous and strength filled New Year. May you be prosperous, successful, healthy...May you be courageous and strong in the face of 2017 as you were in 2016. :) Love to you all my friends.

...ago today.

I must tell you this, Horace has been watching the recent ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ competition on the TV and quite fancies having a go at ballroom dancing himself, however his joints needs a bit of loosening up as he finds it difficult coordinating his trotters. 🐷

So Horace phoned a local dance studio and asked if they could teach him to do the splits, they responded “how flexible are you at the moment” Horace responded “I can’t make Fridays”. 🙈

What a year it has been, who would ever believe we would be talking about the same subject as we were this time last year, all we can do is look forward with hope in 2022. 👍😊

Thank you all for viewing my photographs, along with the comments and general banter we have here on Flickr.♥️🙏

You have heard me say it before but I will say it again, “a smile costs nothing, but it enriches those who receive it”.😁😇

I feel very privileged when I go out that the beautiful playground of Cornwall is on the doorstep and it is such an inspiration for me to capture and share with you all.🌞

I will leave you in peace to enjoy the festivities, and I will see you again in January 2022.🎉🍷

May I wish you all a wonderful Christmas, a very healthy, happy and peaceful New Year. 🎄🎄🎅🎅🍻🎉🎉😇

The sand dunes in the Dubai area at sunset are just spectacular. The great sky and the moving clouds doubled the awe while we were there looking at the light change. I took some shots, many shots, but the temptation to just stand there and enjoy the view was strong.

Enjoy.

It's been a while since I posted a fence shot. This is the wooden green fence at the Elizabeth Gamble garden in Palo Alto, CA. I just loved all of the new white blossoms against that green, with a bit of rain thrown in for good measure.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. HFF
