This Mediterranean Gull is waiting for it's friend to wake up to catch up with the others

some debris from Storm Éowyn coming down the river

The water level is up after overnight rain associated with the start of the storm. It was fairly dry during the peak part of the storm. Would have been good drying weather if you had strong clothes pegs!

This is the spiral staircase inside the Arc De Triomphe in Paris. It's well worth a visit if you're there, especially at sunset as you get some spectacular 360 degree views of the city.
