Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. A little bit of fun with the juxtaposition here although the sign is there for a serious reason. It is a pedestrian crossing that has seen many people hit by turning busses over the past few years including at least one fatality that I know of. Wishing you all a safe and happy weekend ahead with many happy shutter clicks!
Sunset from the Ruahines. After a good day of exploring the tops in interesting, changing, light, we settled on a hilltop and waited for sunset in what was very cold conditions. Even with polypro gloves on it was too cold to keep shooting without warming them up! I got a nice series of images, including some panoramas, looking in to the sunset towards Ruapehu. This is a shot from when the sun is still up, casting some lovely beams of light into the misty hills.
A contrast of the hard steel of the Blue Bridge making people look small and vulnerable - but in this case defiant!
