"I'm drawn to these haunted places because they remind me of how I feel about her. Some spirits will never rest in peace."
Longing for Spring
by: S. Moore
O how I long again to see
The vernal face of Spring,
And hear, from every budding tree,
Some little warbler sing.
I long to see the forest trees
Clothed in their robes of green,
And swaying in the gentle breeze
Display their glossy sheen.
I long to wander by the stream
Where sport the speckled trout,
Or in the noontide's genial gleam
See lambkins frisk about.
I long to see the sons of toil
Perform the noble deed
Of breaking up the stubborn soil
To plant the fertile seed.
I long to see the meadows green
Bespread with flowerets gay--
I long to have a change of scene
From winter cold and gray.
It won't be long--a little while
And snows will disappear
And Flora with her winning smile
Shall find a welcome here.
to please put her feet in the water! Which we finally said yes too. I'm sure it was cold...but kids never seem to mind.

And pain is in my heart
Around me lies a somber scene
I don’t know where to start
But I feel warmth on my skin
The stars have all aligned
The wind has blown but now I know
That tomorrow will be kinder
Dedicated to all the suffering souls all around the world...
“Knock, And He'll open the door
Vanish, And He'll make you shine like the sun
Fall, And He'll raise you to the heavens
Become nothing, And He'll turn you into everything.”
― Rumi

Come, as thou cam'st a thousand times,
A messenger from radiant climes,
And smile on thy new world, and be
As kind to others as to me!
Or, as thou never cam'st in sooth,
Come now, and let me dream it truth,
And part my hair, and kiss my brow,
And say, My love why sufferest thou?...

Yesterday was the last day of classes, w00t! Although there're still two finals to give and grade, I'm done with the lecturing.
As a present to myself, I swung by the nearby lighthouse on the way home for a quickie session (that involved my GF1, SWC, Prominent I, and 2.8C )
The film versions will go up shortly. Here's a shot of my SWC doing a 3 minute exposure.
Would die for one of these right now (and the view and sunshine)
Need to fix that light leak though!

I have a longing to go for a bike ride. I also have a longing to sit out in the warm sun with a cuppa. It's been a good, busy, cray-cray kinda week!

We spent a weekend in Scotland, including a day on the road out. Our first stop was Stonehaven where we ate a late breakfast. A really charming place!
