One upside of the outbreak is that a few companies are offering apps for free or putting them on offer. I bought Affinity Photo for half price and created this composite in it today from a couple of photos, great photoshop alike for iPad.
HSS!
3rd lockdown we are in and people try to stay sane by being out in the cold. I hope to go back to normal soon, but I understand the feeling when I look at this image.
Thank you all for your appreciation.

Another macro capture taken in my garden recently. This time it's a Six-spot Ladybird on Forget-me-nots. It's surprising what you can find to photograph in these times of lockdown if you're lucky enough to have a garden. You don't have to leave your home to be able to photograph our wildlife. All you need is a macro lens and your eyes and a different perspective from the norm, so why not set yourself a challenge. My garden isn't large but I've seen lots of different species of bees, hoverflies and bee flies as well as this rather obliging ladybird.
I have set myself a lockdown challenge too only take photos in my garden or from my garden. Stay safe Stay Home.
In this stage 4 lockdown, hairdressers are closed and I am really starting to need a decent trim. Who knows what we all will look like when we are finally allowed to be well groomed again! Happy Sliders Sunday :))
I have set myself a lockdown challenge too only take photos in my garden or from my garden. It is going to be interesting to see what effect this has on my photographic skills. With no travelling involved I will be able to take advantage of the change in the light conditions, and hopefully this will help me improve my eye for a composition.
Stay safe Stay Home.
One from the archives from May of 2020 although the date might say different. I used to swim in this vast saltwater pool but was prohibited during lockdown. I will always remember the quietness during those months. No planes flying overhead. Normality appears to have returned somewhat.
We sent flowers to all our daughters to cheer them up - so we sent ourselves some too! Extravagant, but offering a bit of hope and pleasure...

I can feel you calling me
I can see the cracks between these walls
But this pain
I choke on the words as they rise in me
To survive, I lock down
I can feel you calling me
I can taste the poison in your heart
But these dreams
Blurring the line between war and peace
To survive, I lock down
Say the words
I can’t face the world
If I could say the words
Everything would be broken still
We are broken....
During the Coronavirus lockdown, I'm going to be posting some digital abstracts - I've only just started doing them so still plenty to learn.
