Not so happy Friday

I have captured this image long before the pandemic, but going through my archives it yells at me like a symbol of current restrictions and its consequences - nobody in the street, nobody sitting at the tables. Idyll as a deserted place.

Will we ever get our lives back, as we were used to live them before Covid hit us?

Macro Mondays, theme: Lockdown Song

"... On the last day I took her where the wild roses grow

And she lay on the bank, the wind light as a thief

And I kissed her goodbye, said, "All beauty must die"

And I lent down and planted a rose 'tween her teeth

They call me The Wild Rose

But my name was Elisa Day

Why they call me it I do not know

For my name was Elisa Day ..."

I love country music, but I didn't have anything to shoot, so I searched songs with my name.... and found this Tom Petty song, that I never heard and glad I found... I took a picture of this on my phone, so it made the size requirements....

I doctored it up a bit for the challenge!

Here I am walking alone, but my lockdown dream is that one day soon, we can all walk together without the fear of covid...

A short trip across Rochdale Town Centre on my way to the shops for a few essentials... "All of a sudden, Nothing Happened!!" :-)

Today is the first day of a national lockdown in the UK. My hope is that the world will recover soon from these difficult times.

There will be many lessons to learn from this.

Stay safe everyone !
