Hamburg Airport Helmut Schmidt während der Coronapandemie im Frühjahr 2020: Der Flughafen der Hansestadt ist stolz auf den Namenszusatz, mit dem er einen der größten Hamburger Söhne des 20. Jahrhunderts ehrt. Wer war Helmut Schmidt, dieser „Jahrhundertmann“, der 1918 hier geboren wurde, während des Nationalsozialismus heranwuchs und später als Bundeskanzler aus tiefer Überzeugung für die europäische Zusammenarbeit warb. Hier Im Terminal 2 informiert eine Ausstellung über das Leben und Wirken von Helmut Schmidt.

He was honoured at the end of the 20th century. Im Lockdown der Corona-Epidemie. Die Natur war der einzige Platz, an dem man ohne Probleme sein konnte und durfte. Natürlich nicht in Gruppen. Die Impfungen waren noch nicht vorhanden.

Erster LOCKDOWN: 22.März. bis 4.Mai 2020

Irgendwie scheint die Kröte auch unter dem Lockdown zu leiden. ;)

Capital City Trail, North Fitzroy, Victoria

We are currently in lockdown here in Melbourne due to a resurgence of COVID-19. We are allowed an hour out of home for exercise each day and quite a few (such as myself) are taking the opportunity to explore the byways of our city such as the Capital City Trail which is a shared pathway going through some of our parks and along some of our waterways, the Yarra River in particular. I didn't see many cyclists when I went out the other day but plenty of pedestrians. In this picture, we are near Rushall Station in North Fitzroy.

Kiss and Ride parkeerterrein met het luchthavengebouw en de nieuwe parkeergarage tijdens de lockdown in het voorjaar van 2020. Normaal is het hier vol met auto's die mensen komen afhalen en brengen, nu leeg en verlaten.

When I walk through the streets with my camera I usually have no goal. The people and what happens to me on the way, that is my goal.

For a long time now I have been out and about with my camera to take street photography.

And sometimes you have magical encounters.

I met Steven in a station in Maastricht. He is 24 years old and lives on a farm in Putten (all the way in the east). He works in the film industry as a freelancer. He has started playing the piano during the lockdown because he needed something to take his mind off things, when you're in lockdown on a farm with lots of nature around you it can get really lonely and it turned out to be one of his talents. He tried to play "the river flows into you", I don't know the original artist anymore but his favorite is Nuvole Bianchi from Ludovico Einaudi.

We do everything to make her feel happy, but sometimes she misses other children.

Thought I'd start showing all the different types of birds that visit my garden starting with the humble robin sheltering from the sun under the canopy of a tree.

All Saints church in the small village of Findern just a few miles from Derby.

This the side door, I was drawn by the diagonal joinery and detail in the door as well as the visual metaphor for our potential second lockdown.

Torrey Pines Nature Preserve which is located on the Pacific Ocean in San Diego, CA. is open during the pandemic lockdown. Since it's only a few miles away, it provides a tranquil place to hike and enjoy nature. As I was leaving, the Red-Tailed hawk graced me with a fly by and some terrific acrobatic manuvers.

I'm starting to miss going to the beach now.

You can go outside and excersise once a day. Wing stretches was a good way to begin this Sparrows fitness regime.

I'm thinking on the song 'Yellow Submarine'.

A yellow ball lonely on a deep blue background like a yellow submarine lonely in the blue wide ocean. Maybe, many people are lonley in the Corona Lockdown, which is why I've choosen a minimalist motif.
