I have seen this view quite a few times. A fence, maybe the railings on a bridge, full of padlocks symbolizing eternal love. I find it a bit silly but, from a photographic perspective, I am kinda glad people do that as it offers a great photo opportunity. I found these padlocks on a fence at the Portsmouth marina. The 2 towers behind are from the draw bridge over river Piscataqua. I plan on posting a picture of that bridge being all the way up to let a big ship pass under it. Happy Fence Friday y'all!

Off the coast of Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba, the shallow clear water provide easy sight for the Pelicans to spot their prey. Up and down the beach pelicans can be found flying slowly against the breeze looking for fish. When they spot one they climb and then dive straight down into the water. This brown pelican was locked in mid dive on his way to catch a little lunch.

Made a revisit to one of my favourite locations, for an evening scene from the lock.
The sky was alight with the lights from a Christmas Extravaganza in Higginson Park, over the other side of the bridge.
Along the way and during my trip from Calgary, AB to Sechelt, BC, I stopped for a few shots. This one is the pier located in Salmon Arm, BC. The water is covered in ice but gave a rather interesting and somewhat foggy look. In the mountains beyond, clouds played in the rolling hills as they dodged the mountain tops and skirted the the edges below.

I wonder how they're getting on. (I should have checked the other side of the lock.) Processed using control points in Silver Efex Pro 2 for the selective colorization.
Technically this is part of a fence, so Happy Fence(d) Friday!
Yesterday hubby and I took a lovely walk with Daisy Dog alongside a canal near our home which opens up onto the Blackwater Estuary, we walked to the Marina and had lunch and then walked back passing the quaint and beautiful Lock Keepers Cottage, simply so beautiful, hoping to have brought some of the beauty to this image, have a wonderful Sunday ~ KissThePixel2019

Yes, locks are fascinating. My 3-year-old grandson often spots them for me and I oblige with a photo. Even the mundane can be made beautiful.
