It probably won't happen because I am running out of lives!
But I imagine I am in there, looking out at you from one of the windows as I prepare a delicious sandwich on my kitchen counter, to eat while I watch a favorite television comedy, in this, my house.
The "raised eyebrow" arches above the shrunken modern windows are winningly charmingly comical.
I think this section of the building is probably from the 1920s or 1930s, PER MY ANALYSIS of Sanborn fire insurance maps and Danville city directories. On a 1951 map it was shown as a machine shop at 305 Court St.
That Ford Mustang GT from model years 1999-2004 is not mine.
That Toyota pickup from model years 1984-1988 is not mine.

An old train station (Barrie, Ontario), now being restored... got there to take some pictures prior to restoration. This picture - an abandoned corner of the old loading dock, the ladder is now falling apart
my camera went into the garage this week. I'm not sure when I'll get it back. It has given me a good opportunity to go back and take a look at those photos I have already taken and never did anything week in terms of processing. I used to never think about cropping photos, now its the first thing i think of when trying to improve upon a photo that may not say much in its original form. Some people call it cheating, I think its fun so screw off. This was a photo taken of our old cold storage facility in brooklyn. Everyone get on the green bandwagon, this movement is going off!
Presumably used to distribute the Daily Camera before the building was sold to Trada, this loading dock is now used by a random guy who eats and then abandons his lunch right next to a trash can.
Pictures taken during different stages of constructing Big Iron's new shipping & containerization yard.
Precast concrete blocks are being set to create the two level loading dock.
Asphalt millings are being delivered which will be used to stabilize the yard.
A Komatsu trackhoe (excavator) is working on setting the heavy blocks as well as backfilling the wall.
Visit us at www.bigiron4sale.com for more information.
Various pictures of Big Iron's containerization yard in Jacksonville, FL as well as Dynapac Rollers being dismantled and containerized.
You will find pictures of 40 foot HQ containers, Big Iron's loading dock, various equipment located at Big Iron's yard.

I've been calling this place a pier, but I suppose it would be more correct to call it a loading dock. This is a look at the main deck on the river side, with part of the Mississippi River Bridge and the casino riverboat in the background. The large shed would be on the right, just out of frame.
A spray painted face adorns the wall on a loading dock at the back of one of the outlying buildings at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. At the foot of the dock was the skeleton of a shopping cart that had been set on fire, melting off the plastic basket into a puddle of blue sludge. This was the one spot on the entire campus that looked like it was used fairly frequently as a late night drinking spot.
Cake and ice cream were served in celebration of the 50th Birthday of the Virginia Museum of Transportation, and the gifting by the City of Roanoke, VA to the museum of the N&W J 611 and A 1218.

I caught the cat 'cause the camera was already on. I was aiming for the broken bed post (or whatever it is) I saw the cat and moved the camera over getting both in the same picture. Cat ran away so a reshoot wasn't possible.
Building in background looks rough, but is not abandoned. Lots of activity 'round here on weekdays.

February 14, 2021 - The Toledo and Ohio Central Railroad Station located at 379 West Broad Street. Designed by Yost and Packard and built in 1895. In 1973 it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. It has always been my favorite building in Columbus. I have photos posted of the interior of the grand waiting room before the building was renovated and an addition was added by the Firefighters Union #67. After its days as a railroad station Volunteers of America used it as an office building. Here is a photo of the waiting room: www.flickr.com/photos/oxfordblues84/3263566780/in/album-7...
