This layout took forever to prepare, yet fell together very easily once all the photos were printed! It features photos of Hong Kong from 1991-93 when my husband and I lived there. The paper is the gorgeous new Kaisercraft collection Hanami Garden. I didn't add anything else as I felt the photos, and the text I added to them, were enough.
The journalling reads:
Which moment would you choose to live again?
A difficul question. I look back to enjoy the momories rather than wish I could live them again. Who is to say they would be as good the second time around? But while I wouldn't chose to live them again, the three years we had in Hong Kong were great. Newly married, child-free, our first time living abroad - our time there was full of fun and laughter, new experiences, wonderful sights. They seemed to be very carefree years - but that might be the rose-tinted glasses at work! I wouldn't change anything about my life, and I have no regrets - but if I were to go back, maybe this is where I would choose.

Day Eight
Inspiration from the Vera Bradley ad...I rotated the page 90 degrees to the left.
I feel like I should have more journaling on this page...but I didn't know where to put it. I know the background is super busy, but I am glad I got these photos scrapped.
I used vellum to act like the tape in the ad, was a little more subtle than the tissue tape I have on hand.
Journaling reads:

I am still in shock at how stong this little guy was. He was carrying firewood, and had a little grass hat on to help ease the pain on the head. We stopped and helped him get it up onto his head.

These Otokars were the only type seen on Gozo during our half-day visit. Strongly recommend a trip back to Mgarr on the route 303. Goes via several villages so twice as long as the 301 - but - features probably the narrowest passage I have ever known a service bus negociate, an arch with just inches to spare on each side, approached and exited at an angle. Our driver got it right first time, I suspect many do not.

Taken from the Sleeping Bear boat tour in Frankfort. It is amazing to realize how important this loading dock was to the history of the area.
