BNSF Y-JOL202 rushes westbound towards Patterson Road in Joliet with SD40-2 1755 in the Santa Fe bluebonnet scheme and an H1 painted GP38-2. They'd be heading westbound for the Lorenzo Spur, also known as the 51 Lead to pick up cars.
A three engine lite power move approaches Waterloo IA. Here she is descending Raymond Hill at what seemed 60mph but I am sure was around the 50mph track speed on the Dubuque Sub. Shot just East of Raymond, IA at Ordway Rd
This is one of my shots from my light painting series with Kyra.

A triplet of SD40's (2 -2's, one -3) head North on the CC Subdivision towards Queensgate Yard in Cincinnati, OH to pick up a train. The local will then head south past this spot a few hours later. In the background is the Mother of God Roman Catholic Church, one of the many cool buildings that occupy Covington's skyline.
some kind of decoration, all nice and shiny 😄

The crew of YD-41 runs lite through Convent Station heading west to Dover. The locomotive is one of only two GP40PH-2Bs to wear the “Speed-Stripe” scheme. The area is blanketed with snow after a morning winter storm.

Maryland Midland's UBEG crew is returning lite down the grade to their cars after cutting away to go sand the rails for traction. The pair sanded the rails all the way up to Westminster at the top of Parr's Ridge. Mist and fallen leaves were too much for the pair of GP38s and after stalling a few times it was decided that this would be the only way to continue east with their freight for Emory Grove.

Day 1 on the Upper Peninsula, and my first priority was to catch CN L549 cross Goose Lake. Woke up at the crack of dawn for the view, only to be met with lite power. Unfortunate, sure, but the sunrise accompanying it was truly stunning. Couple that with the peace and quiet of the lake and peaking foliage...I understood why the UP is held in high regard.
