I thought I better check in and give you all a report from my lockdown. This dominant Ruby throat hummingbird has run all the other males away and claims the flowers for himself and of course any females that might show up and they do and he does the hummingbird mating dance for them. I call him Night Lite because in all my years of watching hummingbirds he is the first one to stay feeding after the night light comes on.
He is trying to dominant the flower area while NIght Lite is away. He always gives way but to all other hummingbirds he is the dominant.
The “line_up“ is a paperwork series I developed since 2010. The “liners” are made out of paper (Din A3/A4),
oil paint and graphite. The theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers.
