"Lit by Fire"
Today's image is brought to you by fire. As we hear of friends in Northern California dealing with potentially losing their homes to the multitude of fires, I did not realize we had our own in Orange County. My niece brought my attention to the beautiful sunset tonight, and I realized it was too early for a sunset. I pointed out that those colors must be due to a fire. Sure enough, Anaheim Hills is ablaze. I digress. The moment I saw the orange light on her face, I ran to get my camera, and asked her to freeze. Using the same shutters employed in yesterday's image, I angled them so the ball of fire would be visible in our young model's eyes. I attempted to keep the colors true to what I witnessed at the moment of the capture. I believe we took five exposures, and this was number four. My sincere best wishes to all those coping with this new reality.
