The visit to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.
The Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology on Beaumont Street, Oxford, England, is Britain's first public museum. Its first building was erected in 1678–1683 to house the cabinet of curiosities that Elias Ashmole gave to the University of Oxford in 1677. It is also the world's second university museum, after the establishment of the Kunstmuseum Basel in 1661 by the University of Basel.
The present building was built between 1841 and 1845. The museum reopened in 2009 after a major redevelopment, and in November 2011, new galleries focusing on Egypt and Nubia were unveiled. In May 2016, the museum also opened redisplayed galleries of 19th-century art.

Because life is short, and tomorrow isn’t promised, I forgive and ask forgiveness. Becoming older doesn’t necessarily equate to becoming wiser, because how you present to others isn’t necessarily how you’re presented to others, be it their lack of empathy, trust, or control. I recognize that things are not always ad they seem, and not everyone is willing to wear their emotions on their sleeve, yet their rigidity reveals true intent, and perhaps we are, even in our nearest and dearest, a stranger playing a role, wearing a mask, never attaining their goal, the love they crave, because they can’t see past the worst case scenario, that the freedom and love they wish for is what they suppress in others. Instead, seized in the grip of their fear, they isolate and compartmentalize others into into a box, be it abstract, painting you into your a corner, only to find the neglect and isolation has broken you. You are incapacitated by your lack of agency. And you, because you, even when your intuition tells you that your pot is near boiling, you choose to play along, after all, this suffering will surely lead to happiness, though logic tells you otherwise. What’s stopping you? Then one day you wake up. The alarm is screaming for you to move, or die. You’ve atrophied. It’s now time to get your affairs in order. To tell your loved ones how much you love them. To forgive the unforgiven, self included. To attempt what goals are necessary to leave into your next level without regret. Do the things you set aside for another day, because the past is now. Because tomorrow isn’t promised. Because memories and old words are the unreliable narrator, and eyes don’t lie. I’m not here to be remembered. I’m not here to tell you what you want to hear, but to lead you to the truth you deny yourself. What you own is not the light within you, Once you know the truth, of the force that guides you, you may stumble, you may fall, you may be willful and with pride, but your thoughts shall become things beyond the measure of your time spent here in this life. Choose wisely. Will you have spent your time more in service to your pleasure than in service to others? Will you lead those around you into the light or darkness and despair? Read that again. Choose wisely. It’s ok if you were too much for some people. Perhaps it never occurred to you that you when you touched a nerve, you cannot force what they decide to do or how they chose to react or respond. It is not for your shoulder to bear, if spoken in truth. So, ask in earnest for forgiveness, let go and move in the space of your trajectory. What you do with your time left should not be spent in regret, but presence in order to move forward. So, underneath the same moon, you too will forgive and love them all the same, as I love you. This is not a test. I’m working on my bucket list, because tomorrow isn’t promised, and I’ve yet to finish what I began.
