Nature goes on with her daily tasks of creation. This beautiful reflection is at Sacramento's prettiest park. Lots of trees for shade and natural decoration. Get outside today and let the breeze caress your cheeks. Remember to plant at least one tree during your lifetime and give back to nature>
PS : Ask Siri, Spotify, Alex and Amazong to play some music by JOHN WILLIAM HAMMOND (use all 3 namrs) Great music.
I shot this many times with several different water patterns and light directions. The end result is so busy it's almost uncomfortable to look at at.
A little trip out to The Hope Valley in the Peak District this morning with Neil Hulme. We were blessed with some beautiful light and mist, so here's the first from this session. I was very tempted to go 'square' with this but really liked the flow of mist coming in from the right so stayed with the landscape crop.
another splash i have "frozen" thats a lot of fun :) and gives a new picture in just seconds, hope the winter will bring some real ice this year
I've been keeping this piece under wraps for awhile now...I'm not sure if I really like it? It was inspired by a can of Scott's Liquid Gold furniture polish that I found under my sink. Maybe that's half the problem. You can peep the team video here youtu.be/Udoldx7aISI many thanks to Ironlak and everyone else who came out to Basel.

Even Gelsenkrichen has its beautiful sides ;)
This is a picture of yesterdays sunset at the Emscher, a canal which runs through the complete city.
Reflections of golden canyon walls and blue sky in the rushing water of Utah's Fremont River at sunset.
Well, my waterfall obsession kicked in again and i went to find another one.. The result was this beauty, not the most spectacular of waterfalls, but the light and location were perfect.

Relaxing view...
. . . Anyone my age probably remembers liquid mercury thermometers in school and that sometimes they would be dropped and break! It wasn't a bad thing, because then we would play with the little droplets on our desks, and we lived to tell about it!
Long story short, this water at Rugg Pond falling over the metal spillway plates and rocks below reminded me of those days!
Have a great week Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!
The river was tumbling down a gorge on a wooded hillside. There were huge outcrops of rock, and smaller ones, like this one, in the river bed. The sunlight on the water made a stunning liquid light show.
Leaves of a liquid amber tree.
The leaves are domed, so some of the light can get under, what gives a little bit 3D feeling.

House Finch
From Cornell:
The House Finch is a recent introduction from western into eastern North America (and Hawaii), but it has received a warmer reception than other arrivals like the European Starling and House Sparrow. That’s partly due to the cheerful red head and breast of males, and to the bird’s long, twittering song, which can now be heard in most of the neighborhoods of the continent. If you haven’t seen one recently, chances are you can find one at the next bird feeder you come across.
Appearence
House Finches are small-bodied finches with fairly large beaks and somewhat long, flat heads. The wings are short, making the tail seem long by comparison. Many finches have distinctly notched tails, but the House Finch has a relatively shallow notch in its tail.
Color Pattern
Adult males are rosy red around the face and upper breast, with streaky brown back, belly and tail. In flight, the red rump is conspicuous. Adult females aren’t red; they are plain grayish-brown with thick, blurry streaks and an indistinctly marked face.
Behavior
House Finches are gregarious birds that collect at feeders or perch high in nearby trees. When they’re not at feeders, they feed on the ground, on weed stalks, or in trees. They move fairly slowly and sit still as they shell seeds by crushing them with rapid bites. Flight is bouncy, like many finches.
Habitat
House Finches frequent city parks, backyards, urban centers, farms, and forest edges across the continent. In the western U.S., you’ll also find House Finches in their native habitats of deserts, grassland, chaparral, and open woods.
Photographers Recommendation at PDBG - Go to the Family Contemplation area - sit quietly on the ground with camera ready - the birds will come to you at the water fixtures.
