Liquid Mercury . . .
. . . Anyone my age probably remembers liquid mercury thermometers in school and that sometimes they would be dropped and break! It wasn't a bad thing, because then we would play with the little droplets on our desks, and we lived to tell about it!
Long story short, this water at Rugg Pond falling over the metal spillway plates and rocks below reminded me of those days!
