Capturing the activity of bubble solution just before it pops is a great way to lose track of time. It's easier to use a manual focus, as the frantic movements of the thinning liquid create a whirlwind of activity.

Dubbele Stoneysluis - Amersfoort (The Netherlands)

Double stone lock (sliding weir) over the river Eem. Designed in 1909 by the Dutch architect W.Chr. Jansen.

The building (with red shutters) is a museum named "De Katoendrukkerij", namely "The Cotton Printery", located in a former water mill named "De Volmolen" (built in 1645) since 2020.

In the 17th century, the textile industry provided financial security for the residents of Amersfoort. Actually, the first cotton printery in Europe was established in Amersfoort. At that time, cotton sheets and cloths were printed with handmade wooden stamps.

After 3 weeks of flooding I had the chance to hike around River Weser. In our area 2023 has been a very wet year with 1200mm of rain in 12 months. Porta Westfalica, Ostwestfalen, Germany

My previous post is a close-up from this tree. Correct me if this isn't a Liquid Amber, please! The color was awesome but within the last week all the leaves have fallen.

Finally a day off to myself. Took my pups on an overdue extended walk at the lake near us. Not much to see here in late autumn. Made due with color from the lake. This tree branch shape brings to mind one of my favorite painters, Eyvind Earle. He does some amazing details of trees and branches.

You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers."

Acrylic paint suspended in oil and heavy cream with a little dish soap added to make it active. All placed in a clear shallow container and lit from below and above. Hmm everyone!!!
