The “line_up“ is a paperwork series I developed since 2010. The “liners” are made out of paper (Din A3/A4),
oil paint and graphite. The theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers.

An assortment of Montana Rail Link locomotives are in various states of repair, being stripped for parts, or being stored in the railroad’s Livingston Shops on May 7, 2012. Up front is former Clinchfield/Seaboard/CSXT, now MRL EMD SD45-2 No. 301, which unfortunately was scrapped in 2014.
Found these beautiful horses in NE New Mexico, USA, or, pretty much, they found me. Thanks for looking!

Hi Everyone!
This is at St. Andrew's Lock and Dam at the Red River, a popular fishing spot for American White Pelicans.
When you are at the top of the stairs, you can see the water rushing down the dam. It is there that the pelicans line up and go fishing. There are some huge fish that are swimming towards the pelicans. The water falling down the dam is quite loud so the birds aren't disturbed by the clicking of cameras. These are mostly young pelicans. Next post will be a closer up view. I must admit it was rather fascinating to watch from above. It was challenging because the space was barely large enough for my lens.
If you want to see how large some of the fish get, check out this previous post! It is a shot of a pelican with a HUGE fish!

The early-afternoon lineup of Metra trains on the Union Pacific West, North and Northwest Lines at Ogilvie Transportation Center includes F59PHI 90, the Chicago & North Western heritage unit, which had just arrived from Waukegan with a North Line run. It would shortly move to the station's engine servicing area.
East/West Hump DS gave the priority to the CPBN power to head back down to St. Paul Yard after dropping their train at Northtown. Thus, TCW waits its turn to go Old Way to the Commercial while a UP switcher for East Minneapolis hangs out in the yard.

On my frequent runs back and forth from Maryland to Michigan, I go over the Alleghenies and have to contend with mountains, curves and tons of these things.

While shooting blue and silver P42s over and over can be as stale as shooting orange GEs, St. Anthony can at least always present some fun scenarios. As the Builder pulled into the plant here, the yard job appeared from Union Yard to take a cut of cars over to Midway. The yard job yields, while the Builder's conductor goes to push the button, and in the shadows, the UP waits to make a delivery to the Commercial.
