The Ancient Romans marked the edge of their empire in Germany by erecting a boundary wall to signify where the frontier begins. Remains of the Limes Wall can still be seen today. We discovered this hiking trail while looking for the wall one cold November day.

Another 2 for 1. This month’s contest at the local LUG is to just build something green for St. Patrick’s Day. March is also Marchikoma, so a lime green Tachikoma seemed like the obvious combo.

Situated close to a former small limestone outcrop (now a lake) on the edge of dartmoor. Lime was used for mortar, for plaster, for whitewash (a permanently smudgy paint) and to reduce the acidity of soils.

Rapid decelleration would be another title.

I'll freely admit that to capture this again could take forever.

This is a single shot, 1/2000 of a second of my life!

Lock-down Sunday in the garden with a G&T (water) and a slice of lime.

I filled a memory card, ran a battery flat and eventually got the slice of lime to tell me everything it knew.....

Papilio demoleus malayanus.

I went out last night to photograph the comet, but didn't have much luck. There was tooo much light pollution to the north for a high contrast image. But turning south, I was afforded this dramatic vista. There's still some light pollution near the horizon, but it actually adds to the visual impact.

Lime Chicken

Grill boneless, skinless chicken thighs over medium heat, keeping away from direct flame.

Combine red pepper flakes, Serrano pepper (1/2 pepper), onion (chopped/minced), garlic (1 clove), olive oil (2 tbsp), juice of 1/2 lime).

Pour mixture over chicken during cooking, making sure to cover evenly.

Cook till juices run clear.

Salsa:

2 whole tomatoes

1/4 cup onion (chopped)

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp oregano

1 tsp lime juice

2 tbsp jalapeno

1/2 red pepper (chopped)

2 tsp Habanero pepper

1 1/2 tsp cilantro (chopped)

Mix all ingredients together, let stand ~ 30 min, serve.

EDIT: I also sprinkled a bit of dill on top.

As always, your thoughts, critiques and comments are welcome.

I've been in infected.

Not by a plague or disease.

I'm a little worried.

But I don't think it's a problem.

It's starting to hurt though...

I've been working with lime lately, and this is what I came up with. This is also for Magus and I's new lime group. Link to group: www.flickr.com/groups/1976896@N22/

I could not resist another citrus shot for be still. Oh, it smells heavenly when I shoot these. Yesterday, was light and bright. Today is dark and moody.

A US Lime SW14 works the Kansas City Southern interchange in Marble City Oklahoma. This obscure shortline runs on about 1.5 miles of trackage between their facility across the Sallisaw Creek and the interchange here with the KCS. This operation just happened to be working when we were down here making this hard to shoot railroad worthy of a few pixels despite the flat and cloudy lighting.
