Macro Mondays theme: Green.
Limes are supposed to be green right? Well I had real trouble with them because they are not acctually very green at all. I really don't know why I make life so difficult, I could have chosen something intensley green but I guess it became a challenge that I had to beat.
Here is my final offering, HMM...
Montana Rail Link Train 844-19 switches the Graymont facility at Townsend on 10/19/2022.
Lime is mined and produced at a mine to the west of here, which is then trucked and transloaded onto rail cars here.
I was lucky to catch the 109 leading, since it had been out of service for most of my trip and went down again not long after.

The brick structure for the Lime Point Lighthouse was built in 1883 as a fog-bell signaling station. It was eventually fitted with coal powered 12-inch steam whistles. During operation, the facility included the fog signal building, a coal shed, water tank, and a two-story keeper's quarters. The keepers building later upgraded to include a third floor. Only the fog signal building is left today. The shadows are made by the Golden Gate bridge.

Between Peach Spring and Yampai is the curved double track Nelson tunnel. It is the only tunnel on the former Santa Fe Transcon in Arizona. This is train Q-LABH a priority intermodal from Los Angeles to Birmingham using the Avard connection with the BN (former Frisco). This was in 1991 well before the Santa Fe/BN merger Power from both roads was typically used. In 1991, we were able to drive across the track in Nelson through a clearly never-closed gate and use former ROW that had been bypassed in 1923 when the tunnel was built to get to tunnel. I've read that the lime plant in Nelson has closed that off in recent years and getting to the tunnel is difficult.
What looks like the remains of an old Lime Kiln near Leighton Hall, Lancashire, England. (good to see a little sunshine after 5 gloomy wet days!)

Cultivar of Sedum (more properly Hylotelephium) - named for its foliage rather than these pretty pink flowers
Finger limes measure around 6cm in length, with a diameter of approx 2cm. They contain tiny bubbles of tangy citrus and come in colours of pink, yellow, green and white.
The Australian native finger lime plant is a thorny understorey shrub or small tree of lowland subtropical rainforest and rainforest in the coastal border region of Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. Wikipedia
Scientific name: Citrus australasica
The Linner lime tree is a striking summer lime tree (approx. 800 years old) which stands near Linn on the municipal boundary of Bözberg in the canton of Aargau, Switzerland.. With a height of approx. 25 metres and a trunk circumference of 11 metres, it is considered the mightiest tree in the Aargau. Legend has it that the lime tree was donated in memory of the plague by one of the last remaining villagers.

Garnetts wood an ancient coppice woodland owned and managed by Essex County Council. A knight was given the wood in the 12th century and in his memory there is an imposing wooden statue carved from a tree stump. Small-leaved lime, once widespread across lowland England but now restricted to just a few woods, is the dominant tree.
I'm not that interested in fashion... When someone says that lime-green is the new black for this season, you just want to tell them to get a life.

Lime point lighthouse under the north tower of the Golden Gate bridge is a fascinating spot and made a great subject this morning as I was waiting for the sun to come up. This rusty looking structure is quite off limits to the public but I have seen people over there from time to time.
Lime Point Lighthouse has been in place since 1883, half a century before the GGB was built.
