November 2022
About Us was a spectacular light and sound show at the Tower of London which took you on a journey through 13.8 Billion years of history created by Unboxed Creativity in the UK. These were taken on the 17th November 2022.
Mother Nature gave me a fine display of light from Knapp Hill this evening; so glad to miss that big rain storm coming in from the east on the horizon. The Vale of Pewsey is a magnificent landscape.
For decades I would see reports that the aurora borealis could be visible in Pennsylvania only to be disappointed time and again. On this October night I didn't pay any mind to reports until people starting posting photos to Facebook at dusk. I ran home, grabbed the family and cameras and off we went.
The show waxed and waned over an hour but finished strong, with waves of red and green floating across the sky. I was hoping to time out a train on the Lurgan with the lightshow, but the timing didn't work out and I settled for a car passing over the crossing at Goodhart Road.

After a weekend of feeling a bit on the sick and crappy side, I managed to muster some energy and motivation to head up to Mt Gravatt mountain with the old D800 to watch the lightshow. I managed to get a few shots but this was a clear cut winner for me. It's looking to be an impressive storm season in Southeast QLD.
When the Aurora Borealis and Milkyway come out to play at the same time it is magic.
