View allAll Photos Tagged lightshow,
I was clumsy during this shot, that i accidentally kick my tripod. Thus, the ghost effect of the trees. But it is all good since it happened on the last few seconds of the exposure. And the lightning came out pretty well. Love it!

Thank you to Sammydavisdog for the source photo.
Hell Gate bridge from midway up the arch while a bunch of police search the park for, well whatever police search for. Most probably the Hamburglars devious cousin...
This photo is part of the set Hell Gate.
The PPV (Photographic Pursuit Vehicle) at the Palouse in eastern Washington as the northern lights dance on the horizon.
This is a 30 minute exposure.
Aurora danced in the sky, vibrant and strong, her dress floated over the sky and you imagined you could touch - but she couldn't be reached.
Greenslopes, QLD. Handheld D800e with 14-24 2.8. This was the bolt of the evening and shook the house. There are some swirly lines in the bottom corner courtesy file compression for Flickr, hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
Sorry friends that I did not comment today because I stayed at school to help supervise "the semi" (semi-formal dance) (I reallly just wanted to catch the lightshow again!) Explore # 288 Dec. 7, 1o4 Dec.8
Not so great blend of 2 lightning shots. The WB diff between the two made it hard.
I tried though. The dry lightning show was far more impressive than my ability to capture it.
The night view from Castle Auerbach to Rheingraben, which was flooded by fog.
The fog sea will be illuminated by lights of the villages and cities from below and in the background you can see the smoke of BASF industrial plant near Ludwigshafen together with the the gas flare fire.
This day all conditions were perfect: there was no traffic, so I could reach the castle on time, the height of the fog was optimal and there was an even in the castle so it was opened longer as usual. All this gave me the possibility to make a lot of great photos of sunset, the area and the fog at the night.
