Happy holiday to you all!
For some strange reason the flickr autotagger thinks the carnations and greenery are text !!!
This is a re-edit from one of my favourite captures of 2019. I first tried a few presets in Lightroom Mobile but none could match how I wanted it to look!
I’ve heard it said that the best camera is the one you have with you. While I truly do prefer to use one of my cameras I don’t always have my DSLR or 35mm film cameras with me. On this day we had been to an appointment and on the way home I felt inspired to try to capture some of the winter scenery with a beautiful coating of white frost on everything. All my cameras were at home so I used my phone. I shot these through the car window as my husband drove down the highway. I used the Lightroom mobile app to capture and edit these photos. I feel much more comfortable with one of my cameras than I do taking pictures with my phone. It surprised me that I was able to get as many “keepers” as I did. It’s a good reminder to use what I have with me and try to enjoy the process no matter what type of equipment I have with me to use.

Cottonwoods and willows along the Carson River between Minden and Carson City a couple of days ago
We should have some interesting storm light with fall colors over the next few days!
Our dog, Mya, was sleeping and looks so peaceful. I took my iPhone out, held it really low to the pillow to get a photo of her. Accidentally bumped the pillow and she opened her eyes when I took the photo. Looks like she's thinking, "Again with the pictures? Just let me sleep already." haha
Visiting the Space Needle on a recent vacation. Taken with my iPhone 12 Pro, edited in Lightroom Mobile.
The rain let up just long enough for me to get my weekly photos for the client. This location has a lot of wrecked cars. I was looking at puddles for good reflections and found this one. Dark, stormy clouds made a great backdrop. Taken with my iPhone 12 Pro in raw mode and edited on my iPhone in Lightroom Mobile. Really love that I can do that!

There I post more of my work.
Silly fun playing around with presets from Serge Ramelli. This is a iPhone 12 Pro raw photo edited in Lightroom Mobile on my phone.
Due to intense harm and evil choices of others you are faced with so much darkness, devastation, difficulty, physical and emotional pain and suffering, unpredictability, fear, terror and so many other challenges that almost completely crush you which you are unable to express with words. And amidst all this suffering, when it feels like too much and you want to quit trying to survive, you work to keep looking for light and moving forward in healthy ways even when it seems impossible. Thank you for pressing on at a pace appropriate for you by working to care for yourself through many forms of nourishment, working to receive healthy support through God’s faithfulness and people who deeply care for you, through rest, tears, and graceful acknowledgment of truth and reality. You still have a long way to go on this journey and it is amazing how far you’ve come.

This was one of my efforts to try to help myself cope during this extremely challenging time.

Autumn is coming and mist is everywhere over the lakes - a beautiful mood.
For this picture I tried to use the new RAW feature of the iPhone and from what I saw in the last couple of days it is great. Even if the conditions are not that critical on this shot. I did the whole editing in Lightroom Mobile.
This is just a quick photo I took with my phone as our family was driving home (I wasn’t driving—my husband was) one day last week. This is the road we live on and I love how the small hill looks as though the road takes us up to the clouds. For a while I’ve been fascinated and intrigued by clouds and thankful for how they help me cope as I notice their beauty, various shapes, designs, colors, patterns and textures. Ever since taking this photo I’ve been looking at it several times each day as a way to help myself cope.
“The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.”
Psalms 19:1-4 NLT
At Chipotle picking up dinner food. It was empty thanks to covid but they were very busy getting orders for people to pick up.
I'm not a fan of cold, rainy weather, I'd much rather be in shorts and a t-shirt. But it does make for some good, moody clouds. Shot this with my iPhone 12 Pro.
Maybe it’s ok to rest, to cry, to acknowledge that you’re not ok, to recognize what you’re feeling (when it’s possible to notice), to allow yourself to grieve, to care for yourself. It makes sense that carrying out these necessary and important actions is unfamiliar, challenging and even scary for you. And you are surviving, growing, learning and healing through working to listen to and do what you can to meet your needs even though it’s not easy—a true victory.

My soft blanket and pillow where I have spent countless hours. The light shining onto the wrinkled pillowcase caught my eye so I took a quick picture with my phone.
