Most spiders have eight eyes, but most can not see very well with them. Some spiders, such as Sicariidae family have only six eyes.
The little fountain up by the little wooded area in our Community complex had a lot of fallen leaves and bubbles from the spring water leading into it. I liked the reflections of the fall foliage that added extra colour. The water was partially frozen in spots.

This is a pretty pink and blue image of the water fountains captured at Darling Harbour during the Vivid Aquatique water show. The lights were continuously changing color sometimes mixed with assorted laser beams and figures or dancers, whilst the water fountains were also continuously changing shape and form.
Darling Harbour once again welcomed French company Aquatique Show International, who specialise in multimedia water shows. Colorful lights and images are projected onto a wall of water and fountains inspired by the gardens at Versailles. Shows every hour, on the hour, outside the Imax Theatre, 6pm-11pm.

______________________________________
I would say that Vegabaño always brings me memories of a great friend who left us one morning in the mountains in the mist, and wanted his ashes be scattered in these parts ... and who dedicate these verses ...
We say .....
that when we pet
pure wind summits,
and the moon at night draw the outline of the mountains,
and we shudder autumn whisper,
continue to be born in the dew flowers of the forest,
because you will be the spell that
makes it possible.
"London Bridge is a bridge over the River Thames, connecting the City of London and Southwark, in central London. Situated between Cannon Street Railway Bridge and Tower Bridge, it forms the western end of the Pool of London. On the south side of the bridge are Southwark Cathedral and London Bridge station; on the north side are the Monument to the Great Fire of London and Monument tube station.
It was the only bridge over the Thames downstream from Kingston until Putney Bridge opened in 1729. The current bridge opened on 17 March 1973 and is the latest in a succession of bridges to occupy the spot and claim the name." - from Wiki

Opened in 1983, setting a world record for length of a cable-stayed bridge with concrete deck for a few years and also the record for length of a prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge.
It has two towers that divide the bridge in three spans, two side and one 66-meter central 440. The total length of the bridge is 643 meters and its width is 22, the song has two feet. In the middle of the central span, there is a joint.
Took this the other night without a tripod (!) from my room window. Also caught a small weird glowing reddish sphere below the moon although I don't know exactly where it is in relation its definitely there. I edited this image in Photoshop but only used the sharpen and shadow/highlight options to bring out the detail more. That small reddish orb below is in the original and its not a fault in the camera either. Don't know what it is but its interesting. Anyone know?

Gold has no self awareness / S.svabhava /, but in the hands of an artist, it takes the form of a lion. Similarly, Li does not own form, but takes on any shape to which it carved out the conditions and circumstances.

1. To understand the principle of dependent-arising. This is to say that gold has no inherent nature of its own [i.e., no Svabhāva]. It is owing to the artistry of the skillful craftsman that the form of the lion arises. This arising is the result solely of the cause-conditioning; therefore it is called the arising through dependent-arising.

In all constructions of Ancient Egypt are reflected the ideals of life, chores of this world, their hopes of survival, all expressed relief for art, and hieroglyphic writing system. The Egyptians, as keen observers of nature, the animal considered as the incarnation of a divine force.
Even the modest grasshopper is represented in their religious texts to indicate the jump of the pharaohs of the earth to the afterlife.
The reliefs depict scenes of mastabas in the field where the grasshopper appears, eg papyri also perched on the roofs of the tombs, as the case of Neferhotep in cosmetics boxes (Cairo Museum, Dynasty VI) , in jewelry (bracelet clasp Tut-Ankh-Amon Cairo 62 362) and bronzes in the low season (E.9 Fitzwilliam Museum, 1937, the Third Intermediate Period). In these cases, and especially in the many charms-protective deities could find ourselves associated with concepts of happiness and fertility, equipped with connotations of abundance and wealth.

Take Time to be Aware . . . . . . . . . . . Edward Hays, A Pilgrim’s Almanac, p. 196
"Take time to be aware that in the very midst of our busy preparations for the celebration of Christ’s birth in ancient Bethlehem, Christ is reborn in the Bethlehems of our homes and daily lives. Take time, slow down, be still, be awake to the Divine Mystery that looks so common and so ordinary yet is wondrously present.
"An old abbot was fond of saying, ‘The devil is always the most active on the highest feast days.’
"The supreme trick of Old Scratch is to have us so busy decorating, preparing food, practicing music and cleaning in preparation for the feast of Christmas that we actually miss the coming of Christ. Hurt feelings, anger, impatience, injured egos—the list of clouds that busyness creates to blind us to the birth can be long, but it is familiar to us all."

The BMW i8, first introduced as the BMW Concept Vision Efficient Dynamics, is a plug-in hybrid under development by BMW. The initial concept car was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show,[3] and the BMW i8 concept car destined for production was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.[4] The i8 has a 7.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which delivers an all-electric range of 35 km (22 mi).[2]
In 2010 BMW announced the mass production of the Concept Vision Efficient Dynamics in Leipzig beginning in 2013 as the BMW i8. The i8 is part of BMW's "Project i" and will marketed as a new brand, BMW i, sold separately from BMW or Mini. The BMW i3 and the BMW i8 will be the first models available from 2013. Other i models will follow.
The Vision Efficient Dynamics concept car is a plug-in hybrid with a three cylinder turbodiesel engine. Additionally, there are two electric motors with 139 horsepower. It allows an acceleration to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (160 mph).
According to BMW, the average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle (KV01) is 3.76 liters/100 kilometers, (75.1 mpg imp), and has a carbon dioxide emission rating of 99 grams per kilometer (1,3 l/100km and 33g CO2/km ; EU-PHEV ECE-R101). The estimated all-electric range is 50 km (31 mi), and the 24-liter diesel tank extends the total vehicle range to up to 700 km (430 mi). The lightweight chassis is made mainly from aluminium. The windshield, top, doors and fenders are made from polycarbonate glass, with the body having a drag coefficient of 0.22.
The BMW i8 concept plug-in hybrid electric vehicle unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show has a 7.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that allows an all-electric range of 35 km (22 mi). Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (160 mph) and is expected to go from 0 to 100 kph (0 to 60 mph) in 4.6 seconds. Under normal driving conditions the i8 is expected to deliver 80 mpg-US (2.9 L/100 km; 96 mpg-imp) under the European cycle. A full charge of the battery will take less than 2 hours using 220V.
The i8 combines the electric drive system of the BMW i3, with a 96 kW (129 hp) electric motor located in the front axle powering the front wheels and at the rear is a turbocharged 1.5-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine producing 164 kW (220 hp) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque. The result is a combined output of 260 kW (349 hp). All four wheels provide regenerative braking. The location of the battery pack in the energy tunnel gives the vehicle a low centre of gravity, enhancing its dynamics. Together with the positioning of the motor and engine over the axles, the result is an optimum 50/50 weight distribution.

Wow - what an impressive hot-air balloon show, 'flickr'ing to the music. Thousands photographers are there and i'm alone on the other side of this bay (☺). Want to have the light reflection in the water and the whole atmosphere from a distance. Also the structures of the trees in front of the balloons filled myself with enthusiasm.
Because of the whole scene is very colorful, i converted it to B/W and in my opinion the picture lose nothing, but gains in addition!
Thank you for all comments and favs!

If man could say what he loves, if a man could raise his love for the sky
like a cloud in the light, if as walls crumble,
to greet the truth straight in the middle, could bring down your body,
leaving only the truth of his love, the truth of himself ...
This photo is part of a large series There are sixty-nine images in the series and I may add more at a later date. These photos were culled from nearly six hundred taken by me while attending the show as a visitor. The images posted are representative of the best and the most interesting automobiles I saw exhibited in the 2011 Los Angeles Automobile Show which closed Sunday Nov 27, 2011. I have done several commercial assignments photographing automobiles previously but then I had total control of the lighting. Obviously that wasn't possible in a large exhibition hall where I was one of many guests shooting images. I've tried to compensate using filters where I thought that might be appropriate with limited success. I expect this series to be one of the best I've posted on Flickr to date. Please take your time to view I encourage you to view as many of the images as you can and give me feedback. Constructive criticism is always welcome. I hope you enjoy viewing my images, I had a lot of fun taking them

A week ago Tio challenged us all to shoot in water. This is my first try.
The poor little ant was probably confused with the water, sunshine, reflection and disturbance. He made it out alright !
I used a clear bowl of water and placed a Nasturtium along the edge, just touching the water surface, The grass wasn't completely canceled out, but it looks rather neat.
The only post processing was a slight crop, and darkened the top a little.
