ds106 daily create for Sept. 10, 2013: "Create an interesting high contrast black and white image of an easily overlooked object."
This object was so overlooked in my new apartment that I couldn't find it for awhile, despite looking. Not where I thought it would be.
I made this photo of a seagull on a lightpost in the parking lot of a store after grocery shopping. It was a gloomy day and seagulls tend to move off the coast when bad weather is approaching. I shot this from a distance using my Canon Powershot SX50.
I give my dad credit for this shot yesterday morning, he had my camera and ran into this eastound duo of DMEs on the CP Chicago sub, he got shots from the car window and got the light post in the way, it turned out to be pretty good, thanks dad!
These beautiful lightposts were donated and contain plaques.

I’ve been too busy the last couple days to make it out with my camera so I’m grabbing one of the shots from my Europe trip I haven’t shown yet. As lame an excuse as it is, I’m in crunch mode for the SIGGRAPH conference and can’t take the time out to take photos. Hopefully it’ll all be over soon.
