A lamp post at sunset in Rome. I'm sure this was taken after walking up a steep hill from a famous monument, but I'll be buggered if I can remember which one...
You can see the dome of St. Peter's in the background.

This American Kestral was photographed on a lightpost above the old Hughes facility that was the home of the famous Spruce Goose built by Howard Hughes. The Kestrels nest on the north facing slope in Palms south of what was the Hughes runway. The area where the runway used to be is now mostly openspace and rthe Kestrels can be heard and seen hunting there as well as along north facing slopes where they can be seen gracefully kiting and dropping to the ground catching lizards and insects.. The Playa Vista mega developers are preparing to build their second phase on this openspace while there is litigation presently in the courts to stop them.

This object was so overlooked in my new apartment that I couldn't find it for awhile, despite looking. Not where I thought it would be.
