I went up to Duluth in the beginning of March with my parents to register for classes at University of Minnesota Duluth. None of us had been there at that time of year, so we all had to go down the the canal to check it out. Although it was insanely cold, it was alot of fun sliding around the canal with nearly a foot of ice on the pier!
They had half of the pier gated off so I couldn't get very close to the light house. But the great thing about a point & shoot camera is being able to fit the camera through the bars on the gate :)
Another fail on my part, I completely forgot to take a picture yesterday so I made sure to bring my camera with me when I dropped Mollie off at daycare this morning. Driving a long I noticed the lamp posts and figured I would take a shot.

Thursday December 1 2005. The last light of the last day of Van Nguyen's life. The 25 year old Melbourne man was hanged at dawn in Singapore's Changi prison the following morning. Very sad.
