A festively decorated lightpost for Halloween in Town Square.
Take a tour of the Halloween decorations at DLP: bit.ly/hallodlp
I went up to Duluth in the beginning of March with my parents to register for classes at University of Minnesota Duluth. None of us had been there at that time of year, so we all had to go down the the canal to check it out. Although it was insanely cold, it was alot of fun sliding around the canal with nearly a foot of ice on the pier!
They had half of the pier gated off so I couldn't get very close to the light house. But the great thing about a point & shoot camera is being able to fit the camera through the bars on the gate :)
I went down to the park a few nights ago. This is a long exposure of a lightpost with the last bits of snow that seem to be sticking around.
Bolted to an old lamppost found in the entryway to a former Caterpillar plant in Joliet. This post may have been repainted once at best. I am willing to say that this lightpost dates to the 1950s and was moved to this spot in the 1990s, as it is identical to ones that were replaced along busy Jefferson Street at that time.
Another fail on my part, I completely forgot to take a picture yesterday so I made sure to bring my camera with me when I dropped Mollie off at daycare this morning. Driving a long I noticed the lamp posts and figured I would take a shot.
