Electric Glen is held at Rouken Glen Park in East Renfrewshire

An illuminated trail guides visitors on an after dark adventure, deep into the glen, over the waterfall and around the boating lake.

Inspired by my flickr firend Dan. He has some amazing shots. Had difficulty getting the forks to fit together. Used off camera strobe to left of camera set at 1/64th. I tried several powers but found this one has the most pop.

Canon T3, 18-55mm lens, f/7.1, 1/200 sec., ISO-800.

Used a homemade strobe to do this shot and many of the other strobe pictures.

Some lighting effects around Waitangi Park

My first attempt at self portraiture... I created the lighting effect by putting a black coat over myself and the camera and placing a sheet of turquoise plastic over the flash. I'm having to be inventive at the moment as my old PC has recently demised and taken my photo editing software with it!

Got this photography book authored by John Hedgecoe a few weeks ago. I have been religiously reading the book and then experimenting what I've learned. He talks about emphasizing form and that to achieve the ideal form of an object e.g. fruits, the angle of the light source should be about 45º. I'm still learning these things, so here you go...be the judge.

The mist created a strange lighting effect over Newport one night.

This image began with a photo that I took last week during an afternoon walk. This is the main house at Long Hill Gardens here in Beverly, MA, formerly a private estate but now open to the public. Today I used Painter's lighting and woodcut effect to make this lovely old house look scary for October 31.

cling film over lens shooting towards the sun.

The colours changed and always intrigued. The unepected beauty and the sheer cheek of it had the onlookers laughing spontaneously.

When the sun came up orange this morning and I peeked out my window and saw this scene, of course I ran to get my camera!
