Taken on Agfa Precisa (x-pro)

Saxo-Norman in origin the church lies 150 yards south of a moated manor site and near to a deserted medieval village. This early church was rebuilt in 1816 by Warren Hastings, the present building was designed by J.L Pearson for the stockbroker Harman Grisewood between 1859-63. It is a significant building in the Early French Geometrical style influenced by William Burges and indeed much of the carving is by Thomas Nicholls, Burges' favourite mason. Built without regard to expense, interior and exterior are virtually unchanged, a nationally important Victorian building with a contemporary decorative scheme. This includes a series of fine windows by Clayton and Bell.

However there is a serious doubt over the future of this magnificent church as it is in a poor state of repair.

Exploring Cutler's Hall in Sheffield on the Heritage Open Day, 10th September 2016.

Cutlers' Hall is a Grade II* listed building on Church Street in Sheffield that is the headquarters of the Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire. It was built in 1832 by Samuel Worth and Benjamin Broomhead Taylor at a cost of £6,500. It was extended in 1865–7 by Flockton & Abbott, and again in 1888 by J. B. Mitchel-Withers. It is Sheffield's third Cutlers' Hall, the previous buildings, which were built in the same location, were constructed in 1638 and 1725.

The third shot from Cafe du Vaudeville, where every hot drink comes with chocolate mousse and hot chocolate consists of hot milk and bowl of dark chocolate buttons (I thoroughly approve). Bit overpriced, but very nice (though either very forgetful or in no great hurry). Ideal for watching the beautiful people going by (or those working there). There was one odd bit when they told us they had run out of pancakes but then changed their minds (presumably having remembered what pancakes are actually made of. Cue sotto-voce comments about countries which run out of flour [there had been a few things dotted round town which had given the impression everything has to be ordered from China] and one horse towns, although it is a Francophone one horse town, so maybe it's only a one horse town because they ate all the others).

Son no 3 has done his best to make his new pad feel like home. It may not be a crystal chandelier, but his fake hawaiian garland brightens up a plain shade!

taken on Light Night, but nothing to do with it other than they are lights (In a building where you're not meant to take photos... cough cough)

Marrakech back streets ....where manufacturing of iron work takes place for household goods, here lampshades etc...the air is thick with the welding metal fumes...the engineering appears to be first class! and the conditions they work in are so cramped and small..

the end product, second to none.
