Day 5 Looked above me today at the ceiling, and noticed the patterned electric light cover. Camera out, zoomed in (even with the light on), and this appeared on my LCD screen :)
I do like a good pattern!
The Frenchman next to us thought I was most odd to take pictures of the ceiling. I thought he was most odd (and his wife had the least convincing use of hairdye this side of a charity fundraiser), which just made it even more fun when we returned a couple of days later, commented on the curiously dark haired woman passing by beneath our window seats (I'd seen them elsewhere as well) and promtly discovered them while on the way to the loo.
One of the wall-lights at Grovefield Manor Hotel where we usuually have lunch on Christmas Day. The hotel belongs to two of my ex-colleagues from teaching who have started a rather strenuous new life after 'retirement'!
I loved the way the light was on and the sun came out and the two light sources created an unusual pic.

Only took me, oooo, 21 months of bare ceiling rose and pendant to sort this out. After spending ages looking in real shops, 5 minutes on the Manufactum site sorted us out.
