Taken in the morning during a very foggy and cold day...
The National Basilica of the Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic Minor Basilica and parish church in Brussels. The church was dedicated to the Sacred Heart, inspired by the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur in Paris. Symbolically King Leopold II laid the first stone of the basilica in 1905 during the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of Belgian independence. The construction was halted by the two World Wars and wasn't finished until 1969. Belonging to the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Mechlin-Brussels, it is the sixth largest Roman Catholic church by area in the world.
Located in the Parc Elisabeth atop the Koekelberg Hill in Brussels' Koekelberg municipality, the church is popularly known as the Koekelberg Basilica. The massive brick and concrete reinforced church features two thin towers and a green copper dome that rises 89 metres (290 ft) above the esplanade, dominating the northwestern skyline of Brussels.

Kulich (Russian: кули́ч; IPA: [kʊˈlʲitɕ], from Greek κόλλιξ - kollix, meaning a roll or loaf of bread) is a kind of Easter bread that is traditional in the Orthodox Christian faith and is eaten in countries like Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Georgia and Serbia. Traditionally after the Easter service, the kulich, which has been put into a basket and decorated with colorful flowers, is blessed by the priest. Blessed kulich is eaten before breakfast each day. Any leftover kulich that is not blessed is eaten with Paskha for dessert.
The aliens are coming. Lego alien figure from mini-figures series nine. I added the sword to give the figure an even meaner look. I was running a bit behind schedule today and wanted something quick for my 365 photo today so a quick rummage in the kids toy box and I came up with this. The background is a sheet of black card curved to create a continuous backdrop and the light is provided by a pen-torch set up to light the backdrop behind the figure. Shot with a shutter speed of 1/2sec and an aperture of f/4.5.

This is for the Fix My Pic Please group.
From a beautiful original by nign 2007-2008 titled, the second tulip at my balcony.
I really liked the colors and angles of the original. I used the pen tool to select the larger leaves in the foreground. I copied these twice to new layers. I flipped one horizontally and slide it to thebside. I then scaled and blurred the other and slide it to the opposite side. I selected the tulip and had this on its own layer, and then used a yellow spot light to the bottom left of the tulip.
I added a little gradient on the top as a multiplier, and flipped the image vertically, and horizontally. Thank you so much nign 2007-2008 for letting e work on your beautiful photo.
Good old fashioned toys. I love old fashioned toys like this wooden train-set that we got my children, we first bought a small set when my son was just over a year old and have added to it over the years, both my children have played with it since a young age. it has taken many knocks, drops, chewing, bashing and still continues to outlast any of the newer style toys they have. It has bought many hours of enjoyment and hopefully will continue to do so for a long time to come.

I had a dream last night - a vision:
I saw a world full of people
Everybody was dancin' and screamin' loud;
They were just there to listen to the music
Some even had their eyes closed
Everybody was just smilin'
It was deep
It was underground
Tranceparent
It was magical
It was a happy place
Celebrating music!
Celebrating life!
Men and women - free - without a worry
Then, when I woke up, I realized:
I wanna BE in that moment
The very essence of my existence is looking for that emotion
And when the weekend comes
I live for that Energy
Armin van Buuren - I live for that Energy

Yeah, to me that was the only missing kind of music
France, Paris, Champs Elysées at nightfall, trees with strings of light, Arc de Triomphe at the back
