Live in Oslo, Ullevåll

Backlight enhanced with flare overlay from Force of Nature, Pack 2 Light Effects.

The rays of the late evening sun caught by a Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 50mm f:2.8, semi-automatic aperture with ten blades ("Edixa-Reflex" engraved on the zebra-style focussing-ring). Aperture wide open.

If you view "Large" and zoom in all the way, you can find a tiny very sharp area on the oak-leaf to the left of centre!

Brindisi (Libiamo ne'lieti calici) - Giuseppe Verdi

Libiamo, libiamo ne'lieti calici

che la bellezza infiora.

E la fuggevol ora s'inebrii a voluttà

Libiam ne'dolci fremiti

che suscita l'amore,

poiché quell'ochio al core onnipotente va.

Libiamo, amore, amor fra i calici

più caldi baci avrà

Ah! Libiam, amor, fra' calici più caldi baci avrà

Tra voi tra voi saprò dividere

il tempo mio giocondo;

Tutto è follia, follia nel mondo

ciò che non è piacer

Godiam, fugace e rapido

e'il gaudio dell'amore,

e'un fior che nasce e muore,

ne più si può goder

Godiamo, c'invita, c'invita un fervido

accento lusinghier.

Godiamo, la tazza, la tazza e il cantico,

la notte abbella e il riso;

in questo paradiso ne scopra il nuovo dì

La vita è nel tripudio

Quando non s'ami ancora...

Nol dite a chi l'ignora,

E'il mio destin così...

Godiamo, la tazza, la tazza e il cantico,

la notte abbella e il riso;

in questo paradiso ne scopra il nuovo dì.

photo taken early Spring 1985; a good friend of mine was studying architecture at the University of Illinois and this had opened fairly recently, so we drove to Bloomington, just walked in, and looked around

I wrote the following poem in 2003, it's only available in French, sorry about that...

Your looking at the Manhattan Bridge. This is only my second bridge landscape taken Canon Eos50d. I normally wait about 15-30 minutes after the sun goes down to take my night scene photos. I plan to collect all the cities bridges to add to my portfolio, my next one shall be the George Washington bridge so stay tune :-) My thanks to my beautiful girlfriend Jenny for keeping me great company during the night, and for being patient while I did my work. I love you!
