On Sunday, Rodrigo and I started another light painting with a Ford Landau in an old warehouse in Moóca (Saõ Paulo). The car was provided by Luiz Felippe. I really wanted to try the transparent bonnet. That worked immediately. All in one exposure without Photoshop! I love it when a plan works!

Yesterday I made an appointment with Nikolay for lightpainting in Moscow. Thanks to the mobile phone and Google, we were able to bridge the language barriers. We moved to Gorky Park and later to "Moscow City" to find places for a lightpainting. Nikolay was really a big help and we had a lot of lightpainting fun.
I already had the idea to place the Russian flag in the shape of a cloud in front of famous buildings. In this case Moscow City.
Unfortunately, I realized that my flexible Pixelstick, which I have provided for it, is not frost-proof. So other tools had to come from. So finally did the LEDLenser P7 with a LightpaintingParadise adapter and a piece of water pipe the job.

Zum Einsatz kamen 2 Studioblitze mit roten Farbfiltern, eine kleine Taschenlampe ebenfalls mit rotem Farbfilter und ein rechteckiges Light-Blade an einer Klarus XT11 mit blauem Farbfilter.

Actually it's not new it's just newly renovated, with a brand new red ceiling and LED lights. Light design by Ingo Maurer.
It's kind of different light, standing below it's normal LED Light, looking forward they become red light strips. On the floor it's quite homogenous and free of shadow. However pedestrians walking trough the light changes below the light and between the light stripes. The faces are light up like sun from straigt up and go into shadow again.
Also because of the reflection there are virtual walls coming down from the ceiling.

Who will win the race? In this Lightpaintin performance I tried to simulate the movement of the checkered flag with the help of a pixel stick. As a result, the sporty character of the vehicle comes into its own. More pictures here:

Obtained with the sole help of a camera, my 2 hands & body movements in an outdoor setting in the hills with the help of candels & lanterns, from 1 to 24, accordingly to the exposure, patterns & designs I tried to obtain.
The classicist columns and roof of the Museumsinsel arcades define an eerie corridor that seems to extend into infinity. The ceiling lights selectively illuminate the specific architectural elements, which results in a beautiful contrast between certain areas of the photo.

Fantastic night of Saint Martin, in Italy this week is also called the "Small Spring" or "the Summer in the Winter". It can be few days, one week or even more when the freezy weather disappears for a short pause, a respite, bringing back to the warmth & atmospheres of the early spring or the late summer. I've been exercizing with both gymnastics & camera for a new experimental shooting that I hope can lend a lil of the fantastic scenario of lanterns, lights, candels in the night, at the nature elements. A night without wind, still, amazingly warm, just perfect.
