I've been enjoying seeing the light hit the light posts on the quad during sunset for the past few months, so I did a series of photos focused on the light posts.
These posts are on every street in Jingdezhen to remind visitors that they are in China's porcelin capital.
Photo of the day.
Winter storm blows into Råå. Gusting wind and snowfall will make it interesting in Skåne.
Lincoln, Nebraska-13 May, 2010--This is the aftermath (along with a severely damaged Chevrolet Blazer) from a late-afternoon single-vehicle accident at 9th and "O" streets. The driver of the Blazer apparently collided with a bridge railing and then crossed the street at a high enough rate of speed to crumple a light post and total his vehicle.
The accident was probably caused by a medical problem.
I just hope someone cleaned up his cards, because this seems to be quite a collection and it would be a shame to have lost anything cool. Whoever he was, he's in the thoughts of many people who hope he's going to be all right.
Standard time is coming. Driving to and leaving from work will be in the dark But I get my hour of sleep back : )
~You Light Up My Life~ just a pretty flower pot on a light pole with a cool building in the back! this was in san antonio riverwalk
That would be a good name for a hillbilly character in a cheesy novel.
Went for a little walk down the street to buy some discounted Halloween candy. New neighborhood is a lot more walkable than my old one, which is nice given that I'm carless at the moment.

I think there were a few starter lines and then it was a free for all to run colored yarn on every tree and light post. it was mostly a good idea except for when people forgot that bicycles also use the park.
Taken at Margate looking out over the small bay beside the beach during the summer of 2009, I wanted to capture a water front image but add some interest to the subject. My favourite photos are something near, something far, and this is no exception. Along the sea front, there are light posts, and each have a lovely fish theme at the base. I took several angles on this, though I found this to be the best out of what I had.
Some may argue with this that there is too much fish in the foreground, though if you look at the top right, I wanted to show it was a post or pole of some description and that could only be done from where I am at the distance I was.
