Playing around after a day of walking through old Montreal. The lights in the restaurant associated with our hotel were accented by the glow of a pink-purple neon light tube which snaked around the room near the ceiling. The colors reflected in the crystal hanging at the bottom drew my attention.

it's a wet spring here in wisconsin. i'm entranced by the backyard puddles. they tell rich yet varied stories. and i'm drawn to them every single day. makes me think of words from t.s. eliot: "We shall not cease from exploration // And the end of all our exploring // Will be to arrive where we started // And know the place for the first time."
Sometimes the subject, composition or colors of the photograph you take do not matter. You shoot just for fun. This is one of them. The happiness of bringing together different shapes and sizes of the bokeh effect. And you don't need anything other than the lighting in the window of a store.
One from the archives: I have only been through Union Station in New Haven, CT, a couple of times - but the shiny tunnels are so attractive to photograph.
Ya hace tiempo que no disfruto de momentos como este, asi que ahi va una fotografia de comienzos de este otoño, ojala que el proximo año halla mas suerte!!
Bar light, taken under influence of a black coffee and a generous slug of Cointreau.

The Light by Disturbed
Like an unsung melody
The truth is waiting there for you to find it
It's not a blight, but a remedy,
A clear reminder of how it began
Deep inside your memory
Turned away as you struggled to find it
You heard the call as you walked away
A voice of calm from within the silence
And for what seemed an eternity
You wait and hoping it would call out again
You heard the shadow reckoning
Then your fears seemed to keep you blinded
You held your guard as you walked away
When you think all is forsaken,
Listen to me now
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light
An unforgivable tragedy
The answer isn't' where you think you'd find it
Prepare yourself for the reckoning
For when your world seems to crumble again
Don't be afraid to turn away
You’re the one who can redefine it
Don't let hope become a memory
Let the shadow permeate your mind and
Reveal the thoughts that were tucked away
So that the door can be opened again
Within your darkest memories
Lies the answer if you dare to find it
Don't let hope become a memory
When you think all is forsaken,
Listen to me now
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light
Sickening weakening
Don't let another somber pariah consume your soul
You need strengthening, toughening
It takes an inner dark to rekindle the fire burning in you
ignite the fire within you
When you think all is forsaken,
Listen to me now
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light
Don't ignore, listen to me now
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness
Can show you the light
The last light of the day falls on the snow capped mountains over Plastiras lake in central Greece, while the villages below have already turned their lights on.
An older photo that I shot back in 2012 with my trusty old D300S.
The sun finally reaches the ruined bothay high up above Mardale Head and Haweswater, with the High Street Fells dusted with snow.
We had parked up at the foot of the "old corpse road" by the Lake and climbed up the path to this point. I had promised John Bleakley that he would enjoy the view from here and I don't think he was disappointed.
We spent an hour or so pottering around the 3 ruined buildings looking at potential shots as we waited for the sun to get over Selside and light this place up. When the sun finally came it was a harsh winter light, with it being so cold and clear. So despite looking at other compositions, here is the classic shot of the lower ruin, with the ridge of Riggindale leading all the way up to High Street.
The skyline from left to right is;- Branstree, Harter Fell, Nan Bield Pass, Mardale Ill Bell, Racecourse Hill, High Street, Long Stile, Short Stile and Twopenny Crag.
