A capture at an underpass with a busy motorway above. Processed with shadows, light and darkness in mind. In the distance a solitary cyclist and some wonderful lines on the back wall as the sun reflects through the concrete pillars.

Lost Light – I was out shooting the storm last night and styed until dark to shoot long exposers of the clouds moving. The sun has set about 45 minutes before I took this shot and the sky had been dark for a while when these clouds started to glow in the east like it got lost during sunset. I decided grab some of the light in my shot. It was too dark to focus my camera, so I put my flashlight on the foreground rock and focused on it.
The technical – Nikon D810 Tamron 10-15mm at 21mm f/2.8 for 465 seconds. Processed in Lightroom.
The sun is in the utmost effulgence but the surface turned toward it must be a mirror; the clearer and purer it is, the more light shall be reflected therein."

After concentrating on wildlife shots the last few days I thought I'd post a landscape today... warning though it will be back to the wildlife tomorrow! LOL
I just liked the view that a slight clearing in the forest made and let some light on the front branches whilst further back the dark gloom ensued in the mist... Im fairly sure if you look hard you may spot a gruffalo... or that's what I used to get my kids to look for when we walked through these woods on family walks when they where younger.
Caressed by light.
Sometimes what's important to the photo is not what it is of but the way the light dances, caresses an interacts with the objects it touch. This can create an atmosphere and feeling all on it own.
For the record this is of the top of a ceramic candlestick but that's not important.
