Yes it is.
Things in my life are falling right into place, and I could not ask for more.
Graduation is coming up ( after 5 long years in college I am more than ready for it to be over) then, shortly after, I will be getting married, and along with moving into a new house and getting a photography business started.. things are looking grand.
This image is from an engagement shoot. My friend and I are starting a wedding photography business, and it is going better than we would have ever invisioned.

There is not much processing in this shot. I had to slightly rotate the canvas as that moment passed so quickly and I knew I had to take the shot before it disappears, even though my tripod wasn’t level. There is something in this scene that reminds me of the fragility of life. The darker side on the left, around the Tower of London, and then just on the right of the bridge, light and life ensues.
Life is precious and so very fragile. Hauntingly, it becomes clear only when something tragic happens. I long realised that time is precious and moments that have gone are not going to get miraculously back, so my mantra is to make the very most of it.

The ratio of doll to human facial features sometimes tilts a little too eerily in the human direction. Kind of creeps me out in the same way I feel about holding a seance. It's as if the act of photography is revealing something that would otherwise go unnoticed. Much easier to brush off these feelings when the faces glisten with the sheen of plastic or the proportions are all wrong. Here the proverbial dial was set at about the halfway point, creating a haunting visage that belongs to neither the human nor doll realm. It's simultaneously off-putting yet deeply attractive. I find myself attracted by the tension of this dichotomy more than the doll itself. I sometimes wonder how I reached this point in my life.

SINGLE-LIFE seems to be SIMPLE: one bedroom flat is enough, mini-car is more than enough ...
and..
It is better FINANCIALLY: pay less rent, save on gas & electricity, maybe more government benefits...
and..
It is much more CONVENIENT: less noise at home...
But it does NOT necessarily MEAN that being single is BETTER.
Nope. I couldn't live in a city. Do cities attract weird people or make them appear weird to 'normal' people visiting from the countryside? Or is it me that is weird? Either way I prefer somewhere quieter and less complicated. I like natural beauty and tranquillity.
Life in the city may seem one mad rush but actually this man is stood utterly and totally, frozen still. He's one of those people who stands statue still until you give him some money. I have to say he was marvellously convincing. It can't be easy to hold this position totally still for hours on end.
